I agree - not too sure about the Cowboys fans LOL!

That is correct! If you want to do a buddy read, just mention that in your picks. I've done that even in the regular categories, not just for the buddy read ones.

Being from Australia where we play every conceivable type of rugby/football there is, I HAVE to go with football!

Hey Sandy! We'd like to sort out all the recent issues and have the challenge running smoothly. If you (and everyone else that has concerns on this issue) could just bear with us this month to see how it pans out, we'd really appreciate it :)
Go *deep breath* ...Cowboys, Lions, Broncos, Reds, Strikers!!!!!

I just knew that was going to come up! =)

That is the nicest way I've ever been called a know it all. =P

i'm in i will go with baseball i am not a big sports person i couldn't do this challenge last month cause my library was closed it reopening now in september.

Go NY Giants! Go Yankees! (I follow the Mets too but they are not going anywhere) Go All Blacks!

I see a few Bronco fans on here. Living in Denver all I have to say is GO CHIEFS! hehehhehehhe

It's NY Jets and Mets in my house D.G.! (although one of my kids loves the Yankees- we pretend he doesn't ;)

It's so nice to hear another woman say that! LOL I love ESPN and will watch anything sports related (except bowling and ice hockey!)And Giants are good because Eli is from New Orleans!

I'm in and I choose BASEBALL! Let's Go, PHILLIES!!!

Yes, it is problematic. Does football=soccer or American football. At least, rugby has a unique name, lol!

You're definitely not alone in that - I live in an all female household (my 85-year-old mother and me) and the first choice for TV programming is pretty much always sports - football is the favorite, followed closely by baseball and the WNBA, but we'll both watch just about anything. My mom still complains about the New Year's Day a couple of years ago when the satellite dish was covered with snow and we had to miss all of the bowl games! :)
Oh, and just so I don't feel left out...GO SEAHAWKS!!!

You will do great and hopefully have a good time too- glad you joined in this month! Oh Sass, I could have a great time picking for you ;)

Thanks, Fran! And, I just KNOW you could pick some good stuff for me. heh heh.

Oh, I'm partial to football.

WHAT!?!?! Blasphemy, DG!
Go the Wallabies! *I wanna be a Wallaby*

After Katrina, when we first moved to Shreveport, I discovered they would play Cowboys games over the Saints. I'm still not recovered!! LOL
And I think I would like to be a Wallaby, too!

Well, I am an diehard American football fan, but as far as I'm concerned it can mean whatever you want it too! =)

I'm in! And football all the way! =)

and it is officially the season of Football!! Woo! Seahawks! (We'll be lucky to find another fan on here)

Ohh wait there was another Seahawks fan! Yay!!
