Introduction:
My history teacher's children suffer from a rare disorder known as Mucopolysaccharidosis III (MPS-III) or more commonly known as, Sanfilippo syndrome. What is Sanfilipo? It's a genetic disease that causes the lack of a certain enzyme in the body. From what I understand of it is that the enzyme is what is needed for the said body to function correctly. Sufferers' nervous system begin to shut down, little by little. Such examples are loss of eyesight, or the losing of eyesight, and the loss or losing of muscle movement.

Now, you're probably wondering why I'm telling you about my history teacher's personal life.

For one thing, my history teacher is awesome, and by voting for this idea on the Pepsi Refresh project.

Now, you're probably wondering what the Pepsi Refresh project is.

How it works: "We're looking for people, businesses, and non-profits with ideas that will have a positive impact. Look around your community and think about how you want to change it" (Pepsi Refresh Project).

So, they're basically giving away thousands of dollars to the charity with the most votes.

The fight against Sanfilippo is currently number 1 in the $250,000 category. The only way for them to receive the grant is to stay in first until January 31st.

There are three ways to vote:
Facebook (by installing the app)
An account on Pepsi Refresh (it doesn't take much)
Or by texting in (Text 105582 to 73774).

You can vote once every twenty four hours.
