LaVerne (lavernethompson) | 3 comments My latest book is something very different.
Journey of the Princess of Ice- The Elementals is an adult graphic fantasy romance. What makes it graphic is that there are images to go along with the main characters and it's told from those points of view.

What happens when fire meets ice?
Ice had traveled the realms for centuries searching for the ice elementals, others of her kind but she was alone always alone. Never staying one place for long because sooner or later her mere presence caused the temperature of the land to drop to a killing freeze. Until she found the one place her powers had no effect. And perhaps the one being who could counter her freeze.

Running from a destiny not of his own choosing, Arch finally found the one person who could make him stop running. But Ice must never learn the truth. A fire demon destroyed her world and he was his father’s son.

Journey Of The Princess Of Ice

Ruby Emam (goodreadscomruby_emam) | 93 comments There is no denial that Arab Spring has impacted many people specially progressives. My goal is to introduce two books from a great Iranian writer, which I have translated into English, in an effort to encourage book clubs to read and promote books that show a path to freedom and justice. Revolutions are unfortunately being hijacked by authoritarian theocracies, the recent events in Egypt being a good example. How can this be prevented?

Michele Brenton (banana_the_poet) | 2 comments My latest book is a picture book for grown-ups who haven't grown up too much! It's called 50 Shades in Clay and here's the Christmas themed picture I made earlier :) Xmas themed picture of 50 Shades in Clay the grown-up picture book by Michele Brenton
It is available in full colour/color paperback which makes a cute quirky alternative to a card as it is something that can be kept rather than discarded after the holidays and yet is bright and fun enough to substitute for those who don't send religious themed cards.
Alternatively you can feast your eyes on the clay magic inside by getting the ebook version - which is best viewed on a colour/color eReader as it is entirely made up of full color/colour images.
You can find it easily with my other fun poetry books on my Amazon author page:

Thad Brown My story collection The Smoking Gun Sisterhood has been out of print for awhile. Recently, it was accepted for publication by Pro Se Productions, so I'm excited about that! It'll be on sale in both paperback and e-book formats probably sometime in mid-2013, and I'll post more information then.

If you'd like to get a feel for whether or not my type of writing is up your alley, check out my brand new story, "A Robber's Jackpot," right here on Goodreads at http://www.goodreads.com/story/show/3... . (Of course, it's free!) It's shorter than the ones in the book, but the style, tone and subject matter are very similar.

There are only 18 days left in the Goodreads giveaway of two signed, pre-release copies of Cybersp@ce.

A devastating cyber attack leaves 100,000 people in the United States dead, and evidence points to the Chinese, setting the world on the inevitable march towards nuclear war. Nick Reynolds with US Cyber Command soon learns that former KGB agent Nikolai Chervanko, who has long dreamt of rebuilding his beloved Soviet Union, could be behind the massacre, with something even bigger planned. Lacking evidence linking Chervanko, however, outrage over the attack soon forces the United States to declare war on China. With no means to stop another destructive cyber attack and prevent a nuclear conflict, Nick finds help from an unlikely source—Area 51.

Nathan Daniels (NathanDaniels) | 4 comments In many ways, I guess I'm what you'd call old-school. I was one of the last people I knew to get a cell-phone, and at 37 years old, I've only been using the internet for approximately 4 months!

I scoffed at the idea of reading books on a computer screen, until I recently published my own and was overwhelmed by requests to have Surviving the Fourth Cycle available on Nooks and Kindles.

I had to see what all the fuss was about, and started reading books on pdf file with my computer... I absolutely love it, and have decided to invest in my own reading device.

Which is better... nook or kindle??

Curling up in bed with a good book will always be my preference, but I have embraced the ebook... finally :]

In light of this change in attitude, I am very excited to announce that Surviving the Fourth Cycle is now available for immediate download, at a fraction of the original price, on all your favorite devices.

Nathan- very similar to you- still enjoy old fashioned way of reading! yet- so many James Mason members now have e-books- so I read those on my Kindles, still prefer books I can hold..yet a great boon to writers, as e-books allow for far more opportunities to have your book available to many.

Neil,as a sci-fi fan, I couldn't resist checking out your "Look Inside" for After. I often find most self-published eBooks to be lacking in depth and imagination. Yours, however, seemed "professionally" done. Like myself, I see you are struggling to break through. The thousands of freebies out there are part of the problem. I have found, however, through forums and personal experience that pricing an eBook in your genre for under $3.99 implies to some readers that, "It can't be very good." I also have found that books under a certain length, around 200 pages, are tough sells. You might want to extend your next book to that length. Only my opinion. Good luck.
