Julie Thomas | 4 comments O.K. I've searched around a bit and this seems like the place to tell you about my books...here goes.

(1) The Secret Keeper
This was the first one I posted and it's a novel I wrote. It took seven years to research and write and I had tried traditional publishing routes before I got sidetracked by scriptwriting and put it in a cupboard.

But now it is on Amazon and Smashwords and all the other affiliates through SW (all 4 are). It has about 20 five and four star reviews and has sold around 17,000 copies and is #1 for Jewish fiction. It's 99c at SM and affiliates and free at Amazon US but not UK at the moment. It's part historical and part contemporary fiction, spans from pre-war Berlin to the modern day and centres around musical instruments looted from the Jews by the Nazis in WW2 and the quest to get one, a violin, back.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Secret-Ke...

(2)"Stirred not Shaken" is a book of five short stories, some funny and some a touch heart wrenching. The title one is a fantastical take on a fictional spy who ends up in a strange place talking to Poirot, Marple, Marlow, Smiley etc. and mixing a martini for Bond.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Stirred-Not-S...

(3) "Our Father's War" is non-fiction. My late Dad was a Spitfire pilot in WW2. He served from 1939 until early 1944, in the UK and the Middle East. I inherited a box of his letters home and later writings and I have edited them into a book. He wrote brilliantly and they have proved very popular, with some four and five star reviews and about 7,000 sales (they are free in some places) I wrote them for the younger members of our family who never knew this modest and amazing man (he died in 1991) but they have found a larger audience and he would be thrilled.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Our-Fathers-W...

(4) I have just put up my fourth book. It's a wine crime novella and the first in a trilogy. It's about murder and mayhem in a vineyard and features some interesting ways to die, murder by Petrus and drowning in a vat of must! "In Vino Veritas" full of yummy wine, chocolate, black comedy and twists and turns!!

If you'd rather have Smashwords I am here:
http://www.smashwords.com/profile/vie...

And my blog has excerpts from some of the books and links etc.

Thank you for bearing with me. I am writing book two of the 'Blood and Wine' trilogy now, same characters, continuing the drama and lots and lots of very dangerous chocolate!!

Cheers

Leonard Timmons (leonardtimmons) | 1 comments Science and Religion, Theism and Atheism, a calendar discovery in Genesis 5, faith (religious and otherwise), wisdom and foolishness, and a massive failure to understand the Bible.

In From Adam to Noah--The Numbers Game: Why the Genealogy Puzzles of Genesis 5 and 11 Are in the Bible I describe my discovery of a fully functional calendar encoded in Genesis 5. This book, I hope you will agree, is not one of those "Bible Code" books that invite you to see things that are not there. It shows you, step by step, how a calendar is hidden within Genesis 5. Working through that proof involves a bit of math (arithmetic) so if you can't handle numbers, this book might not be right for you.

The calendar discovery was a result of a process; a way of looking at the Bible that is probably unlike anything you have ever encountered before. It is a radical view. But I think I understand the worldview of the people who wrote the Bible. I think my discovery of the calendar is evidence that my view of the Bible is useful in understanding the entire book.

The larger discovery is that there are many more puzzles and riddles in the Bible. In fact, I was solving those puzzles and riddles before I discovered the calendar puzzle of Genesis 5. It turns out that much of the Bible is composed of puzzles and riddles written to make serious philosophical statements. "Why would anyone do that?" you might ask. My answer is that the huge cultural differences between us and the writers of the Bible have prevented us from understanding them and their writings: the Bible.

Visit http://www.adamtonoah.com for more information and to preview the book.

D.L. Morrese (dl_morrese) | 25 comments The Warden Threat by D.L. Morrese I'd like to announce the release of the paperback edition of The Warden Threat, a humorous science fiction parody of epic fantasy adventure novels. Technically science fiction, it is almost an anti-fantasy, which pokes a fair, or perhaps an unfair amount of good-natured fun at the serious tone and dependence on magic common to many epic fantasy adventure genre novels. With its charming and truly likeable characters, witty, intelligent humor, and prose style blending humorous science fiction and epic fantasy elements, The Warden Threat is a fun read. I believe it will appeal to readers of these genres who may be looking for something fresh and different.

Sterling Gate Books (sterlinggatebooks) | 12 comments The Ninth Orphan
This thriller novel is FREE for Kindle readers now to March 19 PST.

My co-writer/co-producer/son James and I have adapted this novel to a feature film screenplay and have put it into development with our production co., Morcan Motion Pictures. It will be a great film!

A regular on Amazon’s bestseller list in its Conspiracy Books category, it’s a high-octane thriller with an edge.

How do you catch a man who is never the same man twice? That is the question posed in The Ninth Orphan...

An orphan grows up to become an assassin for a highly secretive organization. When he tries to break free and live a normal life, he is hunted by his mentor and father figure, and by a female orphan he spent his childhood with. On the run, the mysterious man's life becomes entwined with his beautiful French-African hostage and a shocking past riddled with the darkest of conspiracies is revealed.

Here’s what reviewers are saying about this mainly 5 Star-reviewed novel:

★★★★ "A Cloak and Dagger Grand Prix" –The Kindle Book Review
★★★★ "In the spirit of all great spy stories" –The Write Edge Bookshelf

Seeking a Scribe Enchanted Bookstore Legend One by Marsha A. Moore

It’s an epic fantasy romance—Seeking a Scribe: Enchanted Bookstore Legend One—available for only 99 cents!

Blurb:
Lyra McCauley is a writer and loves fantasy novels, but until she opens a selection from bookstore owner Cullen Drake, she has no idea he’s a wizard character who lives a double life inside that volume…or the story’s magic will compel her from the edge of depression to adventure, danger, and love.

His gift to Lyra, the Book of Dragonspeir, was actually her copy, misplaced years ago. Lost in her pain following divorce and death, she fails to recognize him as her childhood playmate from the fantasyland. Friendship builds anew. Attraction sparks. But Lyra doubts whether a wizard is capable of love. She’s torn—should she protect her fragile heart or risk new love?

Opening the book’s cover, she confronts a quest: save Dragonspeir from destruction by the Black Dragon before he utilizes power of August’s red moon to expand his strength and overthrow the opposing Imperial Dragon. Lyra accepts the challenge, fearing Cullen will perish if evil wins. Along with magical animal guides, Cullen helps her through many perils, but ultimately Lyra must use her own power…and time is running out

While I'm here a quick thank you to all who have been buying my reissued [as a kindle] first book 'RO'.
it is $1 for 80,000+ words, it's got to be worth a look. It is, for those who do not know, the story of the rescue of a British agent back in the '70's and the lads involved in getting her out.

The Process Server by L.H. Thomson
The Process Server

Here's the blurb:
Bob is a Process Server, a lowly functionary. Worse, he's a "Smith," lowest on society's rung in 2253. Well, almost: the poor bastards still living on Earth have it worse than anyone, addicted to the fully immersive MultiNet and doomed to short, pointless lives working for the Big Six Corps. Now Bob's been given a job, to deliver a summons to a bureaucrat halfway across the Galaxy. His 251-year-old pilot Jayde Chen -- a war veteran trapped in the body of a 14-year-old -- is by his side as Bob dodges intergalactic gangsters, rogue AI, religious extremists and marauding corporate tycoons. Can Bob and Jayde free an enslaved race, uncover a murderer and save their ship?

Hey, congrats on that nomination Lynne, that's really cool.
