ilovebakedgoods (Teresa) (ilovebakedgoods) | 226 comments Book 15 down! I have 6 books from the library and I can't decide which to start next. I have a few that are due soon and can't be renewed so of course I should start with one of those but I'm so undecided, hehe. Not sure what kind of mood I'm in!

Mary (merinwe) | 1043 comments Doing great, everybody! Yay, we're catching up!

I finished my 26th book today, The Graveyard Book. I loved it! Neil Gaiman's narration really added to the story, I think. He has such wonderful voices.

message 1223: by Barb (new)

Barb I had a great reading day today -- finished the last few pages of The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde this morning, spent most of the day ignoring everything else and reading Red Velvet Cupcake Murder (Hannah Swensen #16) by Joanne Fluke , then finished the last 2/3 of Three Days A Mother's Story by Melody Carlson just a few minutes ago. Now I have to figure out what to read next :)

message 1224: by Barb (new)

Barb I'll do as much reading as I can during the RaT, but since it looks like it's going to be the 2nd week of the month, I won't have as much time to read as I'd like. The 2nd week of every month is my busiest week each month, and I work both days on the 3rd weekend as well.

Finally got my copy of The Indigo Spell (Bloodlines, #3) by Richelle Mead from the library this morning and I can't wait to read it. I have heard such good ratings for it, so I hope it lives up to those ratings.

Have a blast, but beware of the vendors at the Straw Market! They like to give you something that's "free for five dollah"

Sashana Quick question: I'm currently reading Never Too Far (Too Far, #2) by Abbi Glines . It doesn't have pages but it has a 62,776 word count. Should I include or exclude this book from the challenge?

What was decided to the challenge (example here) was that the conversion would be 250 word/page

In this case, we'll have 62776/250 = 251.104 pages. You can add it to the challenge :o)

Awesome! Thank you, Sonia. I'll try to remember that for future references.

message 1237: by Barb (new)

Barb OK folks, wish me luck! I've joined a challenge in another GR group to read only the books I already own, have checked out from the library or have on my library holds list -- for the next THREE MONTHS! I have tons of books here, and my library holds list is massive, so that shouldn't be too much of a problem, except for one small detail: I work at the library, and I'm going to be seeing all these shiny new books crossing the desk and I'm going to have to resist the urge to take them home myself ... This is really going to test my willpower!

Thankfully, exceptions have been made for book club reads and new releases from favorite authors. Maybe those exceptions will satisfy my library sweet tooth?

Sonia (darktalynn) | 11599 comments Notes on the Read-a-thon:
=========================

1)The new RaT will be added to message 2, so it will be easier to keep track

2)During the vote I only added the ones who said that will be participating no matter what the vote result was, so, not all the voters are on the list. For the ones who want in, just say so and I'll add you.

3)Anything you like to suggest/add/complain, go ahead and post it to the thread.

Happy Readings!
