(for example Black Dagger Brotherhood series)
This one is pretty tough but I will try !

Ah ! I'm going to look into your list for suggestions :D

Gea wrote: "CaroB wrote: "Travelling in order from A to Z, read one book per letter where EITHER the author's, or main character's first and last name, or two words in the title (prepositions not counted), beg..."Exactly, Gea! As long as it's the first letter of the name/word, and they're both in the same place, eg. Author/character name OR title OR series name.
The exception to that rule are the Quickstops, where, as long as its the first letter of a name / word, the double-decker can come from anywhere ie. Author Name AND title, or Series AND main character.
It was so clear in my head, but I'm not sure if I managed to explain it properly in the first post. I'll add a bit more detail to it to make it clearer, sorry!
Ok, thanks :) You can be proud you invented the challenge that takes some thinking from us and not just automatic understanding of rules :)
OK I am confused on the quick stop ones. For letters like X & Z etc.., would Alexander work for X or not? I see conflicting info on that from different players. I'm going to take Lisa Kay's attitude. I will fill in some possibles but not kill myself to get through the whole thing.
Gea wrote: "Ok, thanks :) You can be proud you invented the challenge that takes some thinking from us and not just automatic understanding of rules :)"LOL Gea, that's one way to look at it :-) Thank you!
Mary wrote: "OK I am confused on the quick stop ones. For letters like X & Z etc.., would Alexander work for X or not? I see conflicting info on that from different players. I'm going to take Lisa Kay's att..."
Oh I've just seen that Mary.
ummm... Ok, that should be fine for the quickstops. As long as the letter is anywhere in the word, and in any of the words, that'll be fine. We'll leave them as easy as we can to counteract the other challenging parts to this one.
So sorry for the ambiguity!
Mary wrote: "Well you know I'm going to cave and do this. I have even created a Double Decker shelf and am going through my TBR books..."Your shelf helped me find some books I couldn't find on my shelves so thanks for setting that shelf up :) I'm also setting my own double decker shelf up, maybe there's another one like me who could use some help with certain letters.
Lisa that's what held me back at first. I figure I'll fill in my list with ideas and then try to not read one too early if it's the only one I have for that letter.
I'm glad my double decker shelf was helpful. I do not take any responsibility if I have a book on there that doesn't actually work and someone uses it. I was just scrolling through possibles while watching the Voice and How I Met Your Mother last night. Going through my Kindle books which is good because I forget to add them to goodreads when I get them.
I even found a VV books: The Case of the Violent Virgin by Michael Avallone. It looks like a super cheesy detective novel from the 60's. It popped up as a freebie one time and I just had to get it because of the title.
Jenny wrote: "LOL! That's why I thought it was so hard. :)"Ah. You know, CaroB. is just plain wicked. LOL!
Mary wrote: "Is this useable? If I Can't Have You (prime eligible kindle book, previous kindle freebie)"I don't know. Let's ask CaroB.
Mary wrote: "Is this useable? If I Can't Have You (prime eligle kindle book, previous kindle freebie)"Do you mean for the I? Yes Mary, that would count.
I like the idea of a Double Decker Shelf, I'll have to do that as well, I think, to keep track of these.

Ugh. Before I went to my daughter's school concert tonight I got a bunch of the letters filled in with books I own that I could use for them-only to hit the X button by mistake before I finished editing my post. Gotta do it all over again :-((
Oh no, Mary! I feel your pain! I just recently did that after having a bunch of work done. Such a waste of time :-(I hope you're able to make up the work/time easily enough!
I am lurking in on this one...I am tempeted to jump in LOL simply because I love challenges......what's stopping me is the fact of having to read them in order LOLOLOL It wouldn't be a problem if I owned all the books, but since I often depend on the library and have to read them when I can get them IDK if I will be able to comply with that rule ☺

Phew! This is going to be a tough one but I've already found some great reads for A, B and C. The challenging part is not to read the later ones before you get there I think (beside finding them!). Lol!
Thats going to be my problem, hopefully if any of mine are from a series they're in the correct order. *Shhh off to check

I won't tell xD I haven't posted it yet (it's all in my head but it's to come in a couple of minutes *wink wink*).

If anyone needs a suggestion for CC, I am currently reading: Family Secrets. The main female lead is Crystal Cartwright. It's pretty good and was a freebie on Kindle when I got it.
Karen wrote: "Will copy your list , mostly !Lol ! Good picks!"Do so! Anna and the French Kiss might not be you usual style but it is one of my all-time favorites that I been dying to reread and it's the perfect read for stressful January! It is so damn sweet and Paris really comes alive - and who doesn't love Paris? Lol!

I've been wondering if that's any good, might have to add it to my pile.
I have books for everything but X. For the Kindlers playing, There's quite a few freebies today that work for this.
Elishia - do it! There are very few YA novels I like but I adored that one. It has crazy high ratings and I was like, can it be that good? Really? And yes, it was better than I hoped!
Lisa Kay wrote: "Paris in the Springtime? Or even in January."Ah, Paris in spring *happy sigh*. I've been there over the New Years and Paris is always amazing (I know it's such cliche) but Paris in spring *dreaming away*
I think this will be a very interesting challenge. I'm thinking it'll be fun though (and I'll likely be blatantly looking at other's lists for ideas)

So, theoretically, I could read the entire Kinsey Millhone series and only worry about the quickstops and W - Z. Almost seems like cheating.
I'll have..."
LOL, Alley! That kinda would be like cheating, but I guess it depends whether you're playing for competitiveness (is that even a word?) or playing to clear your TBR and challenge yourself. Either one works :-)
@Mary: you asked if the series could have more than two words: YES. The example you gave would work.
