Review: I really liked the book but it was lacking something .It was about a single dad and his dead wife's best friend.It seemed that they turned to each other more because the other one was availble and for comfort rather than love , I don't know or maybe I wasn't in mood :D The book happens in Melbourne Au and it's full of Australian things , this part I enjoyed a lot.

I'm in US in Connecticut. Technically, I don't celebrate Christmas being not a Christian, but I love the whole idea of the tree, Santa, presents. I have no kids, but I got a tree and had some presents out for my husband and the cat... I can only imagine how fun it would be with kids! :) I hope you all had a great day... :)

Short Review: This book was a lot of fun! I've heard of Peter Wimsey, but I'd never read any books featuring him, but I'll sure hunt them down now. The characters are great, the mystery is very good too.

Book: Edge of Dawn by Lara Adrian

Finished: December 26, 2012
Review: This is book to me is Midnight Breeds, the next generation. Since the book isn’t out yet, I will keep it simple. This was Mira and Kellan’s story. Mira, is Renata and Niko’s adopted daughter, and Kellan is the son of the murdered Lazarus Archer. They are both Breed warriors now. This story takes place 20 years after the Breeds revealed themselves to the world. They are still battling prejudices about breeds and they are still trying to maintain the ever tenuous peace between humans and the immortals.
Mira and Kellan’s story was really good, but I think this story will take off even more when we know much more of the enemy threatening the new society.

Short Review: I understand that this book was written lyrically and that the prose was strong, but the utter lack of conflict kept me from getting into the book. Everyone is so nice to each other. There was also an abundant use of "what is life" kind of questions, which never really go anywhere. Disappointed.

Review:A smutty sappy book but good for my mood today. I usually like my M/M heroes to be a bit harder . These two were a bit girly!! not in appearance just too much sappy feeling and talking were going on! Love the cover.

Yes, as i fill it in on the spread sheet it will auto calculate your points. So even if you don't mention it, or I miss telling you you have it the spreadsheet will catch it.

Some of the other teams are posting them it is up to you if you want to or not. I am only requiring the called items to be claimed.

Review: Ok I started this series as a buddy read. I have to admit I would have given up if it had been just me. I really struggled with the first few chapters of But ended up leaving my buddy in the dust and have read the whole lot to date now.
This is the third book in the LUX series, and follows on from Obsidian and Onyx. Daemon and Katy are made for each other, no question. The sexual tension will drive you crazy! But eventually, after LOTS of interruptions they do the do!! Sexual tension abated. Now we have to concentrate on the job in hand, of freeing the captive Luxen and mutants. This is not as easy as it seems and here we end our story on a cliff hanger!!!!!!!! No more till July!

Item: Bike

Book: Angelfall by Susan Ee
Rating: 3.75-stars
Finished: January 2, 2013
Review: This book featured a family trying to remain hidden during a post apocalyptic time, when there was so much chaos and lawlessness. The family consisted of a mother and 2 daughters, Peryn and Paige, sixteen and seven (I think). Peryn's mother suffered from schizoprenia, and now due to the state of society, she was off her routine medication. Paige was wheelchair bound due to an accident when she was 2 years old. Thus Peryn was the responsible adult of the family.

During an encounter with some angels, Paige was kidnapped and Peryn swore to get her back from the angels. In order to find out where Paige was taken, Peryn rescued an injured angel named Raffe and held him hostage until he agreed to help her discover Paige's location. Raffe is an angel who was attacked by fellow angels and left for dead. The rest of the story is comprised of the journey that Peryn and Raffe embarked on, to restore Peryn's family and Raffe's quest to get revenge against his attackers.

An enjoyable and engaging story. The writing was vivid and gripping. I really like the addition of mental illness and disability to this story. I also like the loyalty and steadfastness which seemed to be cornerstone of Peryn's character. How hard it must have been for Peryn to be responsible for an adult and a child, while living in her own fear. Very powerful for those of us familiar with mental illness. I also enjoyed the gradual thawing of the angel Raffe. He definitely had to war against his nature to assist Peryn and the struggle made for great tension between Raffe and Peryn. I do hope they grow her up before they take the relationship further.
I look forward to the next book.

That's hot, we had a couple of 35°c days last week but now it's 29 or so. Yes this bushfire in Tasmania is horrible

The official high was 34*c at Dunedin airport, but we got 38.3 on our digital thermometer! I took photos.
