Yeah, Ok I'm missing the original question? accept what?

Yeah, Ok I'm missing the original question? accept what?"
Good morning sunshine

Ladies , do you think we should have some strategy for claiming items? other groups are requesting points for uncalled item. Maybe we should claim the same items..."
We can do that too, if you all would like

Right now I think there are 2 items that only Chairs haven't claimed.

but it seems to me even if we request point for an uncalled item and then it's called we just have to it again and because we already have the point we wont get it again. Am I right?

If you all plan and claim your uncalled items early on you will take an early lead, for points. But you will still have about the same amount of items claimed as other teams. Eventually those teams will fill in thier blanks and might get 4 points in one week. Thus catching up with you.
In the end of the last few rounds most teams had close to the max points (32). It was a race to finish that 32nd point last round.
My own personal thought on it is everyones books differ, you should read the harder for you to find items first. You don't want to end up that last week where it is a race with 4 items left to find that are harder to find in a book together. A book set somewhere cold might have a hoodie, but will it also have a rainbow? Due to the items being called after you've claimed it you may only have 2-3 items to read that last week insted of 4.
Due to the randomness factor, there will be players who finish first and others that take an extra week or two to get all the items, because of the seperate catergories.
Statistically to get a perfect game finished in 8 weeks everyone would have to claim the same items and no one would get caught by an item they already claimed. While it is possible, not likely.

If you all plan and claim your u..."
Thanks Dawn :) I think I almost understand ;)

Review:I got this a while ago as a freebie. It happens in 1890 , I don't think I've ever read a HR that is historically exact but this seems to be just that. It's not flowery and takes into account the life style of those years. It's a bit angsty and harsh and the hero does a lot of groveling which I really like. I enjoyed reading it a lot.
Items:
Sunshine:The sunshine was so tempting.(page 237)
Toe:...she stubbed her toe upon a table leg and lost her balance. (page 186)
Cake:as if spreading frosting on top of a delicious cake.(page 52)
Sock:“The other sock, please,” she ordered him, with a
stern face.(page 202)

Week 3: Sunshine

Ancient Light by John Banville
Read: Dec 9, 2012
Rating: ★★★
Short Review: This is book three in a loose series, and I found that out only after I started reading it. It could still be read as a standalone, but I missed a lot of what was happening in the background. The language was excellent, but I really should read it after reading the first two books in the series.
Items Found
1. Weather: Sunshine: "The sunshine outside was peculiar, a thin, pervasive, lemony element."
- p136
2. Miscellaneous: Bike: "...she was just a woman rattling along on a big black bike..."
- p6
3. Body Part: Shoulder: "She is large and handsome, with broad shoulders and a dramatic profile."
- p20
4. Clothing: Boots: "...dressed all in shiny black and wearing what looked like commando boots laced halfway up his shins..."
- p62

Now enjoy the fruits of your labors"

Book: Eighty Days Blue by Vina Jackson

Rating: 3-stars
Finished: December 16, 2012
Review: This is the sequel of Summer & Dominik’s lack of communication and lack of self-awareness. I didn't like it and I didn't hate it. It is on-par with book 1. Dominik gets a fellowship in NY so he can be closer to Summer, in order to give their relationship a chance to grow, but they are still haven’t had the “Talk”. I don't know why it is so hard to communicate with someone you are sharing a bed with. I mean, what is so hard about saying "can we be mongamous?" If you are able to tell him, "faster, harder etc" why not throw in "exclusive" while you are screaming that other stuff too? It's just one more word.
I will read book 3 to see if they get it together, which I heard that they finally do.
Weather: Sunshine: “It was like living with a ray of sunshine . “ (Pg. 315 in Eighty Days Blue)
Clothing: Boots: “I opted for a rust-red woolen shift dress, worn with hold-ups, flat lace-up leather boots and my faux-snake handbag. “ (Pg. 118 in Eighty Days Blue)
Body Part: Curly hair: “ He was a cowboy, in a white shirt and jeans, with a brown leather stetson perched on top of his curly hair . “ (Pg. 118 in Eighty Days Blue)
Misc: Fruit: “A table to one side displayed a range of herbal teas and a platter of fruit and organic chocolates. “ (Pg. 69 in Eighty Days Blue)

Take your time , enjoy your holiday preparations and don't worry , lots and lots of time :)

Ahh I know how you feel Chaitra.

We haven't requested points for sunshine yet ,so can't you just change it and claim something else???Is it against the rules?

This is the first round that we have made players wait for the team to collect points. So this is a new topic. I feel it may be a little sneaky, but it is not forbidden as I won't be really looking at your posts for other items until you submit for the team point. So it really is what is claimed at that time that will be counted.
ETA: If you have already submitted for the points you can't change those items.

I'll read

Yes, that's what I felt too. I'll just search for some more boots. :)

Just see my post above!
Drats.
I'll be reading The Edge of Dawn by Lara Adrian

I read

Review for Rock Chick #6 a solid 4.5

This is the first rock chick book, where having the leading lady try to keep her man at bay,
has made any sense.
Stella has already been turned inside out by Mace and no way, no how does she ever want to go back there again.
Fortunately for the reader, the pull on her heart strings is heading right down the path of falling head over heels in love with Mace.
A slight spoiler at the end of this one, but as usual, if you're a Kristen Ashley fan you will love it!
There were dispersed among the loving, fun sexy times some really sad, tear jerker moments. Both Mace and Stella have been through a lot in their lives, and coming together is a real healing process for both of them.
CALLED sunshine
and I prayed to all that was holy that I wasn’t blowing sunshine up my own ass page 68
CLAIMED fruit

Solid 5

Loved the first in this series about the Chinooks Hockey team members and their road to true love, it was a good quick read as was this. This time the story belongs to Luc (Lucky) Martineau and Jane Alcott. Luc is a player, and Jane is just not in his league, shes very petite in all ways, a bit of smart mouth, Nothing like the women Luc usually hangs with. But fate has some changes to make in Luc's and Jane's lives.
