Week 2 : Bone
by Anna MartinFinished : 9/12/12

Musical instrument:He plays drums in a band.(pg 78)

I finished my book too.Week 2: Bone
This is How You Lose Her by Junot Díaz

Short Review: I enjoyed this book a lot. It's a wonderful read, even though the subject is regret and loss, depressing. Happy to have read it.

HOLY MOLY!!! I finished my book Monday and forgot to add it here!!! Stress!Ok so, I read
by Jill Shalvis. The third in her "Instant" series.
This is the story of TJ, the oldest of the three Wilder brothers, and his turn at true love. We all knew from the start of this series that TJ and Harley would end up together eventually, that chemestry has always been there. But we learn in this book why Harley has always tried to avoid TJ. Great easy read book.

WEEK 2: ITEM: BONEBook:
by Lynsay Sands & Jeaniene Frost Finished: Dec. 11, 2012
Rating & book Review: 4-stars
The Gift by Lynsay Sands
My Rating: 4.5 Stars
I have only read book 1: A Quite Bite but I still enjoyed this story. Teddy Brunswick and Katricia Argeneau were snowed in at a holiday rental cabin but things might not be as dire as it seems. Marguerite has a way of match making with Vamps & the life mates, so this might be one of her schemes. The pair has to make due and try to survive while waiting to be rescued or for the snow to break. Then they started getting to know each other.
Home For The Holidays by Jeaniene Frost
My Rating: 3.5 Stars
Cat is throwing a surprise birthday party for her husband Bones and things never go as planned. A Mysterious man shows up claiming to be Bones’ half brother and the gang has to investigate as hooky things are starting to happen. What was going on and does Bones really have a long lost relative left?
I liked the Argeneau story much better than the Night Huntress story. It just flowed better and was more simple since 90% of the story just involved 2 people snowed in at a cabin. I feel like the lack of “others” allowed the focus to be on Teddy and Tricia. Whereas the Night Huntress story was a bit more congested. But Ian was definitely a scene-stealer as he was just as funny as ever. I just didn’t believe Annette would keep something like that secret from Bones for so long! The end was satisfying however.
Items:
Body Parts (Bone): “Now his skin stretched tight over muscle and bone, and a light mat of dark hair had replaced the gray hair on his chest .” (Pg. 101 in The Bite Before Christmas)
Clothing (Hood): “Ian yanked the hood off of him and began to undo his chains” (Pg. 297 in The Bite Before Christmas)
Weather (Mist/fog): “It made it easy to see the cloud of mist that formed in front of his mouth with each exhalation.” (Pg. 3 in The Bite Before Christmas)
Misc (Cake): “You didn’t get to bring a date because the type of girl you’d pick would want to liven things up with a group orgy before cutting the cake,.” (Pg. 146 in The Bite Before Christmas)

LOL!!!!! crack up!
ShoSho its the same for you! I havent got an item! lol. So sad when we have to wait !!hahahaha wont be long now, another couple of hours or so.
Can't wait for the new item and I'm in the middle of 2 books.:DWe're reading machines in this team none of the other teams finished until today and we've been done for days.
Im reading
with my buddy for another challlenge.Geez I can't understand why its got all the 5star reviews. Its drab boring and absolutely nothing is happening, I cant wait to get the item so I can start another book, to take my mind off it!
Week 3 is Sunshine. So far, so good for me - none of the called words are things I've claimed before. :) @Shosho, I gave up on YA too! I'm trying to get into it again, but it's so hard. All the things that I hated in it to begin with (mostly the whininess, and the same plot with some minor variations) are still there, only it's magnified now.
ShoSho wrote: "I've washed m hands off YA books.I can't stand them."I used to say that, until I read a handleful of good ones. So I take them as I find them.
Plus, you have to be in the right frame of mind to be able to get through them.
I enjoyed Immortal Rules, Pandemonium, Slammed and Shriver--Shiver surprised me.

you forgot to mention the ever present "Love triangle". You can't have a decent YA without some lov triangle.
Ok, I'll agree with you all a lot of YA is just whiny and love triangles. I've been avoiding it for a while. I finished
yester day and LOVED it. Not really whiny and no love triangle. More of a sci-fi YA mystery than romance. First book in a while I gave 5 stars to.
I like love triangles...don't mind reasonable whining...But Pandemonium killed me at the end...I can't wait for Book 3 Requiem by Lauren Oliver
If it is a well written love triangle, I can be ok, but I'm not a big fan of them. I haven't read Pandemonium.
Right, I too have no problem with love triangle per se. I do have a problem with authors making the leading girl toy with two people needlessly, so that they can keep both shippers interested until the last bleeding book of the series. Which actually happens all the time. Ok, I have a problem with love triangles. :D
I'm sooo unlucky, sunshine??!! Gaah I don't like love triangles, whiny people, high school crushes and a lot of other stuff that are the main elements of YA books. But I've been thinking of giving it another try.just have to find the right book
Sunshine is great--any vampire book will do for that one!I liked Lauren Oliver's book Delirium, but Pandemoniun book 2 really got me. The heroine basically grew up!
A lot of people liked Easy by Tamarra Webber, its more YA-New Young Adult as it's college Sophomore . i gave it a 4-star. I didn't cry and I am kind of a softy.
I blinked back tears in Slammed by Colleen Hoover.
ShoSho wrote: "I've washed m hands off YA books.I can't stand them."Im going to as well! Have tried a couple of times. I
cant understand why it has a constant 5 star rating!
SUNSHINE IS THE WORD?
I havent claimed that, so thats good. So Im going to read a REAL book.
I've read easy , I can't say it's YA , I gave it 4 stars too.YA in my mind is twilight sort of book .
I added the books you mentioned I might read them. I read so many great review about Slammed.

Haha a REAL book!
I don't what I'm going to read .I claimed sunshine last week .*bangs her head on the keyboard* jhgfgefksuyefg sorry.
I'll decide tomorrow
Oh Bummer! I hate when something you've claimed comes up!. I loved twilight, when I read it, it was easy to read and enjoyable this Obsidian, is just painful, thank goodness we have till the end of the month to get through it.
Kathy, have you read Rock Chick Redemption? Do I want to read it? It's realllly long.I can't decide between
and
Yes I,ve read it! Yes you want to read it!! Have you read the others? Ive read them all in order, and Mystery man series, they mention the same people. Im biased though! I am addicted to KA!
Damn cant edit my post! Dawn this Obsidian is driving me nuts!! Im not into it and its driving me crazy, because I dont want to start Rock Chick Reckoning now until I finish it! grrrr!!

And Yes I've read the first two. KA is a hit and miss for me. This would be my 7th KA book. It's just so long,I'll probably read the other one for the challenge and read rock chick after that
Hank calls Roxie sunshine.
