You're welcome. And yes just copy and paste. If you want, you can write in that post that you are done/finished. :) Good luck with the challenge.
I would suggest you put it on this forum.http://www.goodreads.com/topic/group_... The current forum is more of the general kind: where you can ask questions about the group or give suggestions, and not about books and such.
Going from a post Olga put up recently, might it be a good idea to create a section to share each other's work? I know I'd love feedback for mine but I don't want to put it in the wrong section, so maybe a section where people can put out feelers for advice on their own YA creations?Sorry if that's long winded btw, worked a night shift and had about an hour's sleep before doing a school run, I am very aware I'm incoherent.
we have a folder for that actually. I created it awhile ago and don't know why people don't post about their work there.
thers is this idea i got from anotehr group its like buddy readers http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/9...
Thanks :) I like it. In fact, I have been thinking of doing this one along with our group Copycat for awhile now. I'll see what I can do :)
This may seem kind of boring, but how about Reading Activities folder? I've seen several cool things that correspond with different books (like directions on how to create a certain nail design that corresponds with a book cover, quizzes, etc.)
So we'll name the folder "Reading Activities" and that folder is for random ideas related to reading, right?
lol... no, anything related to reading is not boring :P I think this is nice, like everyone can create their own threads in the folder :)
Exactly. I know, but just calling it an 'activity' makes it sound extremely boring... it wouldn't be boring, though :)
I totally am okay if you don't want to do this, but how about a folder for Advertisements for other GR bookclub groups?
I used to have one like that in my other group. First it was ok, then it got messy. Everyone just came and spammed the group. Actually, we can promote our groups in Moderator Support Group.
:) Having a lot of members in the group is nice. Great even. I also love seeing the group grows. However, from my experience, what makes the group successful is active members. That's why I didn't advertise the group or send group invite (I did once when we first started). What's the point of having thousands members, but only a few are active??!?!??
I've noticed that a bit too. It's that way in a lot of groups I moderate. And, I have about three other GR friends who send me 5 group invites a day! It's so annoying. I almost feel like unfriending them.
lol that's annoying. I usually keep the invites, so they can't send again.Besides, group messages are also annoying. One group I was a member in before sent at least 5 group messages every week. FIVE!!! I kept moving them to trash. But later, to save myself from going crazy, I left that group :)
That's actually a good idea :D. I always just delete them, and they keep coming back...I know what you mean. In this one group, the Head Mod would send a bunch of group messages saying stuff like: "Remember guys be active!!" or "I just created a new topic!!". I would have left the group by now, but other than the message issue I like it a lot.
I am glad you feel the same :) I think if the members are active and they really want to be part of the group, they would know already if there are new features or some changes in the group.
Sending too many group messages is not only annoyed the members (no one actually reads, by the way), but also makes the group seem desperate for attention. This is the reason Jacquelyn and I have decided not to send any more group messages, until it is REALLY important.

I like THIS idea too!
Hello! I think it would be cool to have a discussion or something where people can post their favorite quotes or scenes from YA books.
Of course :) We did have that before, but not many people posted there, so I removed it.I'll create another one.
Waverly wrote: "Awesome! :D Hopefully more will make posts there"hope so :) I created the thread already, under Book! folder.
I don't know if anyone has ever made this suggestion or if they are kept separate on purpose but I was wondering if anyone thought about combining the the monthly book and page counts? That way all the information about the books people are reading are all on the same thread.
text
With < & > instead of [ & ]
replace the "[" with "<" and "]" with ">". If I wrote them out to show you it would turn into a spoiler. To check you can click (some html is ok) button above the comment box. It's in there.
Okay thank you! Sorry, I keep asking questions and the answer is right in front of me. Thanks again :)
Birdie wrote: "I don't know if anyone has ever made this suggestion or if they are kept separate on purpose but I was wondering if anyone thought about combining the the monthly book and page counts? That way all..."I agree. Or if that's not possible maybe just editing the message at the top, so each one contains a link to the other, so we can go from 'monthly book count' to 'monthly page count' easily? I am just showing off how lazy I am aren't I.. :D
Sami wrote: "Birdie wrote: "I don't know if anyone has ever made this suggestion or if they are kept separate on purpose but I was wondering if anyone thought about combining the the monthly book and page count..."I have thought of that, but it would be a bit messy since some people might forget to put the number and/or the number of pages. Besides, we have done it this way for several months now, so changing it might affect the previous data.
Page Count is Jacquelyn's responsibility since I don't have enough it to add another to my list.

Hey Jacquelyn,During the readathon we had talked a bit about manga. Manga Fox is one of my favourite websites for reading free translated manga online. Let me know if you want me to recommend any manga.
Sorry if I have posted this in the wrong place. I am not exactly sure where it fits...
Elizabeth wrote: "I'm just wondering about different techniques to get more people to read my reviews and stuff."Hi Elizabeth, it would certainly be useful to post your reviews on www.cmy.li too (MyLi) because when you do you get more reading credit, the same as when you share a link to an ebook too. Hope it helps!
