Deepika (deepika3) | 244 comments Gisbelle wrote: "Well with group series read we don't know when we will read book 2 together after book 1 is finished :)"

Maybe we can convert the group series to full series read! Like all books of The Hunger Games or Hush,Hush or Crash etc..

message 55: by Gisbelle (new)

Gisbelle | 25787 comments Let me think about that, Deepika! :)

You can post it here: http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/1...

message 60: by Abigail (new)

Abigail (amp5482yahoocom) | 54 comments I have a question. There a few books I am wondering about reading. I want to know what you think of them. If I stay and the say i turned pretty. I forget the authors though. Let me know if you have read them and if you need the authors.

message 61: by Trisha, lives on coffee (new)

Trisha | 30284 comments If I Stay was a VERY good book! I loved it! I loved the 2nd book more though ;)

Did you mean The Summer I Turned Pretty?
I wasn't a fan of that book ,but that doesn't mean it was a bad book! It wasn't, just not my kind of book....

message 62: by Abigail (new)

Abigail (amp5482yahoocom) | 54 comments Oh thanks. I might start reading them. Thanks!!

message 63: by Mari (new)

Mari Arden | 4 comments Hi everyone! I just recently signed up for Goodreads because I love to read! I like to join groups that have similar interests as me. I've noticed that some groups have an author folder where new authors give a link to free ebooks that they write. Does this group have a folder like that as well? It would be a great way to read more authors and find more books :)

message 64: by Gisbelle (new)

Gisbelle | 25787 comments We have giveaways and freebie folder: http://www.goodreads.com/topic/group_...

Currently have 2 giveaways since many others have expired already.

message 65: by Jacquelyn, thebrunettebooknerd (new)

Jacquelyn (jacquelynreads) | 18790 comments Hello and welcome to the group Mari! Hope to see you around and start chatting books with you:D

message 66: by A.T. (new)

A.T. MacDonnacha | 21 comments Has anyone read The Golden Compass by Philip Pullman? I think the movie is excellent and I am wondering if the book is as good.

message 67: by Mehsi (new)

Mehsi I never seen the movie, but I read the book years ago. Really loved it. :) I would recommend it.

message 68: by A.T. (new)

A.T. MacDonnacha | 21 comments Good stuff. I was wondering if the movie was good because of the screenplay or the book. I'll check it out so!

message 69: by Mehsi (last edited Dec 10, 2012 05:43AM) (new)

Mehsi I tend to avoid movies of books I read. Most of the time it is a disappointment.
Have fun reading the book. :)

message 70: by Gisbelle (new)

Gisbelle | 25787 comments Sorry to interrupt, but this thread is for suggestions and questions related to the group. Not about books, movies or other recommendations. Please move to appropriate post.

Thanks :)

message 71: by Mehsi (new)

Mehsi Sorry, I was just answering Ardle's question. :(

message 72: by Gisbelle (new)

Gisbelle | 25787 comments no biggie. I just want to make sure it is not to far off topic :)

message 73: by A.T. (new)

A.T. MacDonnacha | 21 comments I just saw the topic name was "Suggestions and Questions" and I had a question to ask! It's new to me, which accounts for the bull in a china shop approach. I'm not sure what is involved yet! New rule for myself - be more quiet on Goodreads. :-)

message 74: by Deepika (new)

Actually Ardle.. This topic is for suggestions and questions on how to make this group better :)

http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/1... .. I hope it helped :D

message 75: by A.T. (new)

A.T. MacDonnacha | 21 comments I suppose you need the etiquette or the whole thing becomes chaotic. I kinda like chaos, so I will just keep myself in check by posting less.

message 76: by Gisbelle (new)

Gisbelle | 25787 comments Ardle, each folder and topic serves different purpose so it is easy for everyone to make sense of everything happens in the group.

There is General Chat thread that we don't care how chaotic it gets :)

message 77: by Tayla (new)

Tayla Potayta (taylapotayta) | 1594 comments Are you two up to having others help?

message 78: by Gisbelle (new)

Gisbelle | 25787 comments I think we are good for now :) We will make an announcement if we need any.

message 79: by Jacquelyn, thebrunettebooknerd (new)

Jacquelyn (jacquelynreads) | 18790 comments Yes, as of right now we are fine! But as Gisbelle said, we will let everybody know when we are seeking help! Thanks though, Tayla!

message 80: by Shangre (last edited Jan 11, 2013 06:51AM) (new)

Shangre | 19 comments have us say which books we have read

message 81: by Trisha, lives on coffee (new)

Trisha | 30284 comments I'm not 100% sure, but are you looking for which books we've read together as a group?

if you go to Crazy for YA "group home" page, you can scroll all the way down to our "book shelf" and see our books from there

or

at the top right corner of the main page, you can click the link "book shelf"

or

if you scroll down our main page, you can find 2 different links.

One is for our Group read: stand alone which you can see here:http://www.goodreads.com/topic/group_...

or

Series reads here: http://www.goodreads.com/topic/group_...

I know there are many other ways to find it, but I hope these few ways help!

If not Gisbelle and Jacquelyn are great moderators and will always help too!! :D

message 82: by Gisbelle (new)

Gisbelle | 25787 comments We still have a lot to figure out about our group monthly reads. It seems like not many people (including me) read monthly read or come to discuss. I am thinking of doing only one monthly read from next month on.

message 83: by Jae (new)

Jae | 10 comments So we can suggest books for the group to read? Wow this is awesome!! :D

message 84: by Gisbelle (new)

Gisbelle | 25787 comments Yes, I am still trying to make group reads go more smoothly.

message 85: by Jae (new)

Jae | 10 comments Okay I am currently reading Shiver and am almost through with it. So I suggest the other two books in the series. Linger and Forever. :)

message 98: by Whitney (new)

Whitney Boatright | 578 comments I actually got it. Sorry for all the confusion. Thank you very much

message 99: by Whitney (new)

Whitney Boatright | 578 comments yes I'm doing the secret admirer note challenge and was wondering how to update my book completed count? Do I have to repost everytime or go down to find my original post and then change my count?

message 100: by Mehsi (last edited Jan 27, 2013 01:07PM) (new)

Mehsi Just go to your original post and change the count. When you are finished you can repost it so everyone can see the whole thing without having to go back. (this mostly counts when a thread goes to multiple pages)
