2012 September Pick It For Me! Challenge
Not having the Buddy Reads category is really gonna suck :( It was the part I enjoyed the most.. Oh well.. Baseball! for me! :)
I like not having the BR being mandatory. I haven't been able to buddy read anything in the last few months but I always felt bad when I couldn't do it.

LOL!"
I agree - not too sure about the Cowboys fans LOL!
Sandy wrote: "It appears you can still suggest a Buddy Read. It's just no longer a mandatory category. :-)"That is correct! If you want to do a buddy read, just mention that in your picks. I've done that even in the regular categories, not just for the buddy read ones.
Hey everyone!! *waves* I'm going to join in this month :)Being from Australia where we play every conceivable type of rugby/football there is, I HAVE to go with football!
Sandy wrote: " I do not agree with limiting to one pick! Will you change this rule back if enough of us are against it?..."Hey Sandy! We'd like to sort out all the recent issues and have the challenge running smoothly. If you (and everyone else that has concerns on this issue) could just bear with us this month to see how it pans out, we'd really appreciate it :)
Go *deep breath* ...Cowboys, Lions, Broncos, Reds, Strikers!!!!!
Yes, of course. I will follow the rules. :-) I do appreciate how hard you and the mods work to keep everything flowing smoothly.
We have a local soccer team called the Brisbane Strikers who play in our national league :) *I figure it counts since it is called football all through Europe ;)*

Me too, Lauren! But I'm getting a crash course from my brother on football because of the Barclays Premier League that's going on. Though if MKat meant American Football, I might have to rethink :)Lauren wrote: Personally I'm a cricket fan so I will go with baseball!"
i'm in i will go with baseball i am not a big sports person i couldn't do this challenge last month cause my library was closed it reopening now in september.
I'm a sports whore. I can watch almost any sport - even golf in a pinch but that's when there's nothing else on TV. Go NY Giants! Go Yankees! (I follow the Mets too but they are not going anywhere) Go All Blacks!
Football! I see a few Bronco fans on here. Living in Denver all I have to say is GO CHIEFS! hehehhehehhe

It's NY Jets and Mets in my house D.G.! (although one of my kids loves the Yankees- we pretend he doesn't ;)

It's so nice to hear another woman say that! LOL I love ESPN and will watch anything sports related (except bowling and ice hockey!)And Giants are good because Eli is from New Orleans!
Ok, I've never done this before, but I'm intrigued. I read the faq and the rules for this month, so I'm hoping I'll no what to do. And since my favorite sport is being featured, I figure it's a sign for me to join for September. Soooo...I'm in and I choose BASEBALL! Let's Go, PHILLIES!!!
Vi wrote: " Though if MKat meant American Football, I might have to rethink :)..."Yes, it is problematic. Does football=soccer or American football. At least, rugby has a unique name, lol!

"You're definitely not alone in that - I live in an all female household (my 85-year-old mother and me) and the first choice for TV programming is pretty much always sports - football is the favorite, followed closely by baseball and the WNBA, but we'll both watch just about anything. My mom still complains about the New Year's Day a couple of years ago when the satellite dish was covered with snow and we had to miss all of the bowl games! :)
Oh, and just so I don't feel left out...GO SEAHAWKS!!!
Welcome Sassy!!You will do great and hopefully have a good time too- glad you joined in this month! Oh Sass, I could have a great time picking for you ;)

Thanks, Fran! And, I just KNOW you could pick some good stuff for me. heh heh.
I'm new and I would like to join. I really need to update my to-read shelves but I am open to anything that is currently on my shelves.Oh, I'm partial to football.
D.G. ~Shameless Hussy~ wrote: " Go All Blacks! ..."WHAT!?!?! Blasphemy, DG!
Go the Wallabies! *I wanna be a Wallaby*

I'm still not recovered!! LOL
And I think I would like to be a Wallaby, too!

Well, I am an diehard American football fan, but as far as I'm concerned it can mean whatever you want it too! =)
So nice to see some other sports addicts here! This summer has been rough for me, first it was the Tour and then the Olympics - I am still majorly sleep deprived!! But oh so anxious for football season! I tell my husband that I only watch football on Sundays, and Monday nights, the occasional Thursday and Saturdays. LOL!
I'm in! And football all the way! =)
Ohh I love multiple picks :( Hopefully, that rule doesn't last long ;)and it is officially the season of Football!! Woo! Seahawks! (We'll be lucky to find another fan on here)
