Austin, TX: The Reverse Cowgirls
Don't forget todays the day for the Rachelle Mead signing at 2pm (Bookpeople) and the meetup!Details for the meetup: https://www.goodreads.com/event/show/...
Hope to see you there feel free to bring books for a swap!
I'll see whomever makes it to the signing, but I can't make the meet-up. My husband's schedule changed for Sundays and I'm skating the edge just having my teenager watch little minion for the signing.
I got stuck with a long shift and couldn't make it today. Would anyone be up to having a game night this week? I'm free any night expect for Tuesday night.
March 29th Sunday 2pm @ Genuine Joe's? If no one objects I'll call and get us a reservation - and make sure it's correct :)
Crap! I was planning on joining in this month and read the books, but that's the Boyfriend's Birthday, so there's no way I'm able to go.
Hi all I follow this podcast when I can, nice hosts and interesting books! Just noticed this thread tonight and added ya'll on Twitter. I'm live in San Antonio and you can find me @Wickedtruth73
Welcome Liz! Let's do the game night! I could do this Tuesday (or wed) at Emerald Tavern (Burnet & 183 near Sherlocks). Would that date work?
Emily wrote: "Welcome Liz! Let's do the game night! I could do this Tuesday (or wed) at Emerald Tavern (Burnet & 183 near Sherlocks). Would that date work?"So Saturday or Sunday is out? I'd still be up for those days as well. I could also doe Tuesday.
I get off work at 7:30, so after 8 works best for me. Ugh, I thought I got off way earlier than that :/
Since we didn't quite get plans finalized for today, when works best for Tuesday? I'm free before 1:30pm and after 7pm.
Geek and Sundry will be at SXSW! Here's a link with the info...so who wants to go play some games????http://geekandsundry.com/view/geek-su...
I'm planning on playing some games! And drinking some beer and eating a vegan hotdog :) Saturday definitely works for me.
I think I'll do the EXACT same thing! Also HBO is returning w/SXSWesteros, so I want to check that out again too!
me thinks getting there early on Saturday is a good idea. Banger's usually opens at 11am on Saturdays, so I'm guessing that's when I will arrive.
I'm planning on driving in Saturday morning, so I'll be there before 11 prpbably and am planning on staying all day!
I will definitely try to come and hang out. Is there a particular day and time that would be the best to try and have a meet up?
I'm also going to try to get there as early as possible Saturday, but since Veronica and Felicia will both be there Fri/Sat, I might try to go for the 80's Dance Party on Friday night, too!

I'm totally going to try and make Sat and possibly Friday night too, to get my groove on. *Praise the fact that no badge is required!*
Awesome Alana, I'll hope to see you there! Depending on my laundry situation, I'll probably be in a Boba Fett dress tomorrow ;)
Bonus- my hubby is also HUGE fan of Felicia (and tabletop gaming) so the entire family is going to be there tomorrow! If you see someone with long hair with blue ends chansing after a 6 year old crazy boy child... that's gonna be me. I'm probably going to wear my most recent 'Stop Looking at my Books' shirt.I wish I had the where-with-all to remember to make an Ultimate Pi Day of the Century shirt, but I just don't think it's in the cards this late in the game.
It was fabulous, and I briefly met a few other Reverse Cowgirls... but so many people were there that I lost track of them almost immediately. Was wonderful
I can't make it this weekend, boo! Hopefully I can show up sometime this year...But Tiffany and I had an awesome time dancing with Felicia at the 80's party at the start of SXSW!
Some of you expressed interest on Sunday in joining in on gishwhes this year, so here's some information on that!Registration is open now, the hunt will be Aug 1-8, 2015, and everyone who registers before April 1 will get extra gishpoints, which can later be traded for...something. Misha has always been very mysterious about what.
gishwhes.com is where you register, and if you're interested in joining my team, it's "IntoTheHellmouth," which you have the option of joining during the registration process.
If you're interested in seeing the lists of tasks from previous years, you can peruse them here: http://almaasi.tumblr.com/tagged/gish...
A little info about the process: Our team mostly uses a FB group to communicate, which you will be invited to upon joining. We use a DropBox team folder to store the photos/videos, and while we're competitive, we're also about having the most fun possible! We would love to have anyone with a high shame threshhold, anyone with crafty skills, costumes, and a love for cosplay! Anyone who isn't easily embarrassed, or who is interested with photography/art. ALL are welcome, but the teams can only have 15, so the earlier you decide, the better. Lots of people can play and still work their jobs, but if you take some of the days off, I promise you won't regret that either ;)
Feel free to send me direct messages with questions, or find me on twitter @kittypryde716.
Thanks!
Katie, thanks for the info! I'm not sure I have a super high shame threshold, but I'm definitely thinking about joining your team anyway :-)On another note, in September Chris Hardwick (of Nerdist Industries and the Nerdist podcast) is bringing his standup comedy to Austin! Is anyone interested in going? I'm thinking of buying my ticket soon before it sells out (a bunch of his shows in other cities are already sold out). If anyone wants to go too let me know!!

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to go to that....I just can't afford the $46 admission right now. I'm so bummed! If it doesn't sell out early, once I'm more financially stable I'll definitely join you :)
Also! Sat, April 11 is Tabletop Day! Anyone want to meet me @ Dragon's Lair? I have a really fun new game, Hot Rod Creeps, by the same makers of Epic Spell Wars, as well as the usual (Munchkin, Forbidden Island, King of Tokyo, CAH, etc..).Usually there are Munchkin giveaways, new games to try, and streaming tabletop episodes.
Let me know if/when would be good!

I'll have to wait to see what my schedule is for that (I'll know on the 3rd).

I may not know for certain until the beginning of that week.
