Austin, TX: The Reverse Cowgirls

So plan to talk about November's books as well as December's if you get to them!

Not doing the puppy bowl, lol, but I will be watching Downton Abbey!
Hey, question for you guys! Have you heard of Austin Panic Room and/or Puzzle Room Austin? (austinpanicroom.com, puzzleroomaustin.com)
You basically get together a group of people who get locked in a room, and have to solve a series of puzzles or mysteries in one hour to get out. I've heard it's really fun, as long as you aren't claustrophobic, and I wonder if anyone is interested in getting a group together to try it? Panic Room is downtown, Puzzle Room is on the North side (Anderson Lane), but they cost the same. Panic Room can take different sized groups, but Puzzle room requires 10, so groups may be joined if they aren't large enough. Has anyone done this before?

Oooh I had heard of the concept but didn't realize there were some in Austin! I used to play the crap out of point and click games.

That sounds amazing! I'm in if y'all want to. It looks like both have minimums, though the Puzzle Room will let you go in with any number if need be.

Puzzle Room sounds cool. I had never heard of it before now but I would love to do it!

If you don't plan on reading it, I understand. It's horrid, but makes for good discussion.
APL also has the professional, so I'll look for that too!

That's a great idea! Then maybe Sarah could go too...if it's not running too late for her to drive back to College Station.
Should we try for that? Puzzle room would be on Anderson Lane anyway. They have a 2 p.m. (if we wanted to go before) or a 6 p.m. if we want to go right after. Open to 10 people.

I'm terribly interested, but have too much going on this month to do it. Besides, my husband just informed me yesterday that apparently Sundays are wiped out for the forseeable future by changing his schedule without even consulting me. So, now, I am in charge of the kids every Sunday. Not a happy camper at all.

I was thinking about going to the Richelle Mead signing this month, since I'll be in town, and 6pm is a little late for me (since it'll probably take at least an hour or two)...could we do it next month instead? Or you guys could go without me, of course.
Re: Emily, I was able to get the book through my library, but I'd be open to reading an alt for our meetup. The Professional would be good! What does everyone else think?

Well, that's disappointing! I bet we can find a day. We've also done a game night that we could do again, and everyone is of course invited.

I would love to do a game night again! So fun :) And Melissa, we would love to see you back soon!

Do it! I just joined 2 months ago. You won't feel awkward or out of place at all.
