Felicia Day is in town and can meetup tomorrow, Friday, 3/7 at 5pm for drinks at the Butterfly Bar on Manor! I've been tweeting with her and this is for REALZ.
So, sorry to sort of derail the scheduling convo, but please please please come join us tomorrow at the Butterfly Bar. She can't stay very long, so get there early!
DM me for questions, directions, etc.

Also, Tiffany and I have a mutual friend who hosts a weekly game night at his apartment and he's going to try and do an all-day thing for Table Top Day too! I think he missed the window for securing a table at Dragon's Lair, but he has quite a game collection himself. I talked to him and he was totally cool with extending the invitation to you ladies. He's still making plans, but I gather it's going to be a drop-in-when-you-can type of deal, maybe bring snacks or something. Hopefully we can stream the G&S hangout, too.
I'm always reminded a bit of the VF meetups whenever I do the game nights (with a bit less sex talk), so I think you all would fit in well with the group. I will be there for part of the time, and Tiffany will, too, I think. If anyone is interested in extending your gaming that day, text me, DM me or tweet me @jackfp for details.
Lastly, do we want to schedule another meetup for April to discuss the reads? Also, if any of you watched the hangout last night, Felicia called us out for not having a name :) So we should brainstorm a good group name at that meeting!
I'm throwing out April 19 since I'm out all other weekends :) It's right before Easter though, so does anyone have any other dates in mind? Genuine Joe's?

Also, re: Emily's last post - I'll be going up with a friend (and Emily I think!) to the convention that weekend. My parents live about 15 minutes from the convention center AND they'll be out of town that weekend so free lodging! If anyone is interested in splitting gas money and carpooling/caravaning let me know!

FYI: I'll have Munchkin, Zombie Munchkin, Star Fluxx, Monty Python Fluxx, Back to the Future (the card game), and Firefly. I will have Cards Against Humanity (SO FUN, but we aren't allowed to play that there unless we go into one of the side rooms, because I've been told it isn't "family friendly," which is the absolute truth...although I've played it with my family. Feel free to list anything you want to bring so that we don't have doubles! Also, they will likely have some games we can borrow if we want to try something new :)

Meet New York Times bestselling authors Laini Taylor and Margaret Stohl, and immerse yourself in fantasy and science fiction in a discussion of their books, Laini Taylor’s Dreams of Gods and Monsters, book three of the Daughter of Smoke & Bone series and Margaret Stohl’s Icons. The discussion will be Wednesday, April 9, 7:00 PM at Yarborough Branch, 2200 Hancock Dr. Participants will receive Daughter of Smoke & Bone masks and can get their photos taken in a Daughter of Smoke & Bone-themed photo booth complete with wings, horns, blue wigs and more. Book-themed refreshments will also be provided. A book signing will follow the event and copies of Dreams of Gods and Monsters and Icons as well as selected backlist titles will be for sale. This event is free and open to the public. For more information please call 512-974-9958 or visit library.austintexas.gov. - See more at: http://library.austintexas.gov/press-...

Sundays really always work great for me, the 27th would be good too :)
I have like 3 books to read this month, gotta get crackin'!

Sorry to hear you won't be able to make it for a while Sarah, but hopefully you'll have an awesome time in Sweden!

Never heard of it. I googled it though it sounds great. Good luck

If anyone else can, Carol and I will be there with Sangria and brownies!

I've talked up GISHWHES (The Greatest International Scavenger Hunt the World Has Ever Seen) a LOT, and it's almost here! It will be around the 1st week of August this year, and registration will be starting in around 2 weeks. Anyone interested in joining team Into the Hellmouth? Feel free to pm me with any questions about GISHWHES or the team, but seriously, it's SO MUCH FUN! And it benefits a great cause!
