Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments I like surprises too much to seek spoilers on purpose. Otherwise, what's the point of watching the movie?

TPBM once named a character in one of their stories after a song they like.

message 4102: by [deleted user] (new)

Nope

TPBM once pulled an all nighter to try to see Santa

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4489 comments Nope. I caught onto that whole shenanigan as a young child, lol.

TPBM wishes they would write a beloved series even if it initially is loved by a smaller market (amount of people who adore it).

message 4104: by [deleted user] (new)

OMG that is totally me!

TPBM has a whole bunch a story ideas in their head but can't seem to find the time to write them all down.

message 4105: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4489 comments Yes, yes, and DEFINITELY YES! haha.

TPBM has seemingly hundreds of papers all with different stories on them.

message 4106: by Guy (last edited Nov 03, 2014 10:28PM) (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments :-) Many dozens... Oops. Scratch that, as most have become remnants resting on magnetized materials hidden away from mortal eyes.

TPBM has taken at least one writing course and passed it without learning the secrets of turning snippets and ideas into completed works.

message 4107: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments For me, that class would be Editing and Publishing. I got an A- in it and still don’t know what the hell I’m doing half of the time.

TPBM thinks Shadow is a cute name for a black kitty.

message 4108: by April (new)

April Freeman Yes!

TPBM wishes winter wouldn't come so soon.

message 4109: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments Considering my only form of exercise is long distance walking and winter brings about cold weather, yes, I'd say that's pretty accurate.

After being told what to do, TPBM once said, “I won’t conform to your system!”

message 4110: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4489 comments Nope but I remember my brother liked saying "You're not the boss of me!" Just thought of that looking at that phrase, haha.

TPBM wants to say "Hell hath no fury like..." finish insert their quote ;)

message 4111: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned." is one I hear a lot and it usually refers to divorce court. What a coincidence!

TPBM despises men who post pictures of their penises online.

message 4112: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (last edited Nov 03, 2014 10:20AM) (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4489 comments Yeah sure! Wait--- what?

Uh... oh. But that is pretty awful though.

Lol.
---

TPBM hates it when he/she observes in someone else's relationship one person dominating or taking too much control over the other.

message 4113: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments Relationships should be a 50/50 deal. Controlling somebody is a form of abuse and shouldn't be tolerated.

While going for a drive and sitting at an intersection, TPBM told a standstill red light to, “Turn green!” and it actually did.

message 4114: by M (last edited Nov 03, 2014 04:01PM) (new)

M | 11617 comments No, but I’ve used a Q-Beam to black out a neighborhood.

TPBM has, on more than one occasion, opened the microwave to find the breakfast sandwich from the morning before, that he had assumed he had eaten, so hadn’t gone to work hungry.

message 4115: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments I've done that with Hot Pockets and burritos, but not breakfast sandwiches. Even one day later, they're delicious!

TPBM hates being pulled away from whatever they were doing even if the reason is a good one.

message 4116: by [deleted user] (new)

YES

TPBM listens to music they feel no one else does, but youtube views proves others do.

message 4117: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Actually the opposite. Frequently I find that I am listening to something that less than a thousand other people have listened to.

TPBM has put Steve Reich's 'Drumming' in their youtube favourites.

message 4118: by [deleted user] (new)

nope

TPBM listens to music everyday

message 4119: by [deleted user] (new)

All the time!

TPBM loves the color green

message 4120: by April (new)

April Freeman Yes! Green is my fave!

TPBE sometimes wishes they had the ability to not have to sleep.

message 4121: by [deleted user] (new)

Then I could read more

TPBM knows who against the current is?

message 4122: by Guy (last edited Nov 03, 2014 10:22PM) (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Sadly, I know no one from Whoville.

TPBM has Green Eggs and Ham on their top 10 list of all time favourite books.

message 4123: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4489 comments Hmm I might have if it was top 10 favorite kids books. Earl Carl would go on there at least twice as well.

TPBM loves finding a book he/she has never heard about in their wildest dreams but it's a good one!

message 4124: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Yes. The River Why and The Reenchantment of the World by Morris Berman and Confessions Of A Taoist On Wall Street being the best of the best of that kind of discovery.

TPBM is sipping tea and eating a scone during their break while reading the arts section of the paper.

message 4125: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (last edited Nov 04, 2014 05:55AM) (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4489 comments Nope. But I am brewing coffee and getting ready to settle right after I had just voted. Ahh. Love the smell of coffee!

TPBM has read at least a couple of books in the subgenre "cozy mystery."

message 4126: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments Yes, I have, those books being the "Cat Who..." series by Lilian Jackson Braun. Koko and Yum-Yum are so cute! ^_^

Due to being immersed in fantasy genre media, TPBM can actually see the point in adding fire damage to a jagged dagger.

message 4127: by Jenn (new)

Jenn (ace-geek) Yes, but I can also see it coming back to bite you if the enemy is strong against fire damage.

TPBM would attempt to hibernate this winter if time/work/money allowed.

message 4128: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments In Arizona, the weather is still in the 70 to 80 degree range, so it's not very ideal for hibernation.

TPBM has seen a live musical in the past few months.

message 4129: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments Maybe not in the past few months, but when I was still going to college, I saw "La Cage Au Faux" (SP?). Loved it to pieces.

TPBM thinks Nacho is a cute name for a yellow kitty.

message 4130: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments Maybe. But I don't think I've seen a cat that shade of yellow before.

TPBM is currently sick with seasonal illnesses.

message 4131: by April (new)

April Freeman Sort of, there's a funny cough going around, but it hardly counts.

TPBM enjoys listening to random playlists on YouTube while writing.

message 4132: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments I have my own play list of reading and writing music on my Windows Media Player, which includes “The Room of Ancillary Dreams” by Harold Budd and “Reverence” by Kevin Keller, both being wordless new age songs.

It’s easy for TPBM to like a lot of books, but it’s harder for him to find things that will “change his or her life”.

message 4133: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments No. I seem to find them quite well — or maybe they find me. Of course the change may not occur as quickly as I would like. I have at least 10 books that have significantly changed my life.

TPBM fights against change, but once the change has happened chastises him or herself for having wasted so much energy on being an antideltan (neologism for against change).

message 4134: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments It depends on what kind of change it is. If it's positive or neutral change, then yes, I would agree with that sentiment. If it's something that ruins my life, then no.

TPBM thinks it’s interesting when a character has an odd mixture of ethnicities and nationalities (examples include Japanese-Mexican, Chinese-Scot, and Brazilian-Canadian).

message 4135: by Guy (last edited Nov 13, 2014 10:18PM) (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Yes I do, as I get curious as to learn if that juxtaposition has provided him/her with unusual or unique insights about the society s/he has wound up living in.

TPBM used to wish they were a different ethnicity than the one they are stuck with.

message 4136: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4489 comments I am sure that is with everyone in way. For me, yep. Enough with the Polish jokes, people in the world! Come on...

TPBM has at least one "guilty pleasure" movie, one that people say is terrible or a bomber but they secretly like it.

message 4137: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments That movie would be Tales From the Hood. It got negative reviews, but that doesn't stop me from reciting the fourth story by heart (I like it that much).

TPBM has at least one character in their stories who serves as the mascot for his or her entire career (Nintendo has Mario, JK Rowling has Harry Potter, and Matt Groening has the Simpson family).

message 4138: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4489 comments I was going to say no but I guess though the stories are still in their earliest incarnations I would probably say Detective Mallard is my "mascot" being the eyes and ears to life.

TPBM has one new favorite tv show this year.

message 4139: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments In my case, that would be NCIS: New Orleans. Then again, if you stick NCIS in front of any city, it's sure to be instant gold.

TPBM thinks it’s cute whenever a show, movie, or book parodies the name of a real life company (In “The Fault In Our Stars”, The Make-a-Wish Foundation is referred to as The Genie Foundation).

message 4140: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments I'm fairly oblivious and rarely notice when they do thing like that, but it is cute when see them.

TPBM struggles with choosing the next book to read because they have too many on their too read list.

message 4141: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments To solve that problem, I randomly select my next book with Random.org's number generator. That's the sole reason I'm reading "Super Mario" by Jeff Ryan as of now.

TPBM thinks Nothing More is a good name for a metal band.

message 4142: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments Yes, it reminds me of my friend's band. When they were choosing a name, they went with Not Yet to be punny. "Have you chosen a band name yet?" "Not Yet." ;)

TPBM still talks at least one person from elementary school.

message 4143: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments Our talking schedule is minimal, but I still have a Face Book connection with my friend Lance from California. He appears to be doing well these days.

When giving critiques to a fellow writer, TPBM advises that writer to wait a while to digest the advice before going in to fix everything.

message 4144: by [deleted user] (new)

NO....
TPBM writes stories and stops in the middle a lot.

message 4145: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments That's good advise for just about any advice.

TPBM laughs at some of the things they wanted to grow up to be when they were kids.

message 4146: by [deleted user] (new)

YES
TPBM watched Supernatural

message 4147: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (last edited Nov 14, 2014 03:54PM) (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4489 comments Not this time but I have seen it a couple of times in the past.

TPBM has heard of or is interested about the show Constantine. (note: it's on tonight at 10 PM in my area, hehe!)

message 4148: by [deleted user] (new)

nope
TPBM watches NCIS

message 4149: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments No, I haven't watched crime shows in a while.

TPBM feels like every time that they find a new show they like, it gets discontinued.

message 4150: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments I don't go looking for new shows often, so I can't relate. I'm happy with the ones I have. Plus, I'm reading more often than I am watching television.

TPBM uses a lava lamp as a nightlight.
