Julia wrote: "do you guys think I could count The Road for the nightmare task? It's been on the shelf forever and I can count it for another challenge I'm doing, too! "Hey Julia, I would say it would fit as a nightmare, since it is listed in the genres of Apocalyptic/Post-Apocalyptic and horror. The synopsis reads like a nightmare, too.

Sorry about WH driving you insane. You definitely need a break from it!
I finished my 5th book, The Demon Lover, and enjoyed it much more than I expected. It had a plot that wasn't totally focused on incubus sex and had some interested faerie, witch, and vampire characters. The author, Juliet Dark, is a pseudonym for Carol Goodman. Goodman writes excellent novels. I'm now reading Third Grave Dead Ahead, #3 in this fun series.
The problem with Anna Karenina is by the ending I didn't feel like anything got accomplished. Anna is more a side story. Levin and agriculture takes the bulk of the book. The story could of dragged on 5000 more pages instead it just randomly stopped. There is a lot of reading even after the story of Anna finished. Despite many side stories and tangents last week I enjoyed Les Mis because it accomplished the life of Jean Val Jean. AK really accomplished nothing over the course of 1000 pages to me.

Maybe you can try something lighter this time?
book 6 done & dusted. Poem posted. Tracking post updated.
No idea what to read next! Need to nip to the library to return some, maybe will have a bit of a browse while I'm there.

You're rockin' along. Hope you find a couple more books to finish out the week!
If I heard one more thing about farming... Urgh. And I may have cheered when the climax of the book occurred.

There is a reason I have a tag on my blog for reviews that is "Bad Person".
Right Well I'm off to bed boys and girls. Hope you survive VD and I'll see you on Saturday. Hopefully can check in a few times from the coast. After putting up with an obscene amount of PDAs today (public displays of affection) on the internet, I will leave you with this. It's just a day after all.

Happy reading.

My hubby already gave me a card and a rose this week. He was ahead of schedule. I've got a card for him. We don't have anything special planned, so pretty much just a Thursday here, too. Except I'm not back to work yet, and have radiation to go to... oh joy!
Sleep well, Rusulka!

Finished Cassandra French's Finishing School for Boys. 2/14
Silly. Just wait till I get my own finished basement! ☻☻
I'm sorry this is inappropriate but am I the only one laughing at the humor in Rusalka hoping everyone survives VD
HURRAH! I've finished it! !!!!Fortunately I haven't had to venture out into the red rosé/heart filled world. There is some good in my broken leg!
Travis of NNY wrote: "I'm sorry this is inappropriate but am I the only one laughing at the humor in Rusalka hoping everyone survives VD"I also noticed that, and was going to comment, but got distracted.
Pretty funny!

The Aviator's Wife is a wonderful book. It's like an old friend telling life story only to you. Very intimate.
Great review, Pragya. I've added another book to my ever-growing TBR list!"Thanks, Debra. Hope you get a chance to read and (hopefully) like it.
Naomi wrote: "Just finished book 4 The Vanishing Actand updated it in my thread.

Well, I've been told that I look like Katniss Everdeen :)
Boo Hoo and Yeah! I am no longer leading with 70 points...we are doing so well :)Might get another 1 or 2 finished before Saturday, very glad to have got 7 read while off work at the start of the week :)
I have just finished book #3 Dead Until Dark and have updated my post. I gave it a 4 star rating because I really enjoyed it but I had a couple of small niggles with it too. It's a series that I do want to continue with but not straight away as there are other books that I want to read first.Tomorrow I will start on book #4 which is Perfume: The Story of a Murderer which I am really excited to read as I have heard so many good things about it.
Travis of NNY wrote: "I'm sorry this is inappropriate but am I the only one laughing at the humor in Rusalka hoping everyone survives VD"I've made sure to use V-Day so it wouldn't sound like a disease :)
Haven't you noticed there's pretty much nothing inappropriate for conversation around here! ☺
I finished number 6, Real Mermaids Don’t Wear Toe Rings, thank goodness! Too juvenile, completely got on my nerves.Having bad luck with audio books, have given up on two, but think I've found one I'll like. Started
right at the end of work and should be able to finish it tomorrow. I'm reading
and hope to finish that tomorrow also. I might have to join Debra and Almeta in trying to stay up from tomorrow night til noon Saturday.
I started and finished #7 tonight, The Road. I'm a little over 50% through #8. I will try to stay up late tomorrow night, but there's almost no chance I could make it all night! Maybe if I push, I can squeeze in a #9 though.
Okay, I just finished The Daemon Whisperer as book #7. I'm hoping I can get one more in tomorrow night and finish by noon Saturday. However, I'm having trouble deciding what to read.
One more done for me. Reckless. Another swoontastic tale. Lack of a husband doesn't half free up reading time. >:-)
