Cool Text: Logo and Graphics Generator
Current Stats:

Team Books Read/Goal* % of Goal % of 2,013
Team A 1877/6409 = 29.2% 93.2 %
Team B 1966-1/6385 = 30.7% 97.6%
Team C 2029/6321 = 32.0% 100.007%
Team D 1796/6378 = 28.1% 89.2%

Goal totals adjusted, subtracting people who never signed up, or never posted a book.

Subtractions done for books posted with page counts less than 170. We don’t have the Team A's finished yet, but we wanted to post.

If your Team is on track, it would be at 27.6% of Goal as of today.

Keep counting and "tagging," as we want to know who places, 2nd, 3rd, 4th.

Steven (gallifreyan1218) | 5272 comments Do we know when the next round will start? I feel bad rushing through books that could be counted towards the competition now that this one is done! X)

I can understand that, Steven. Round II should start in the next few days. You've made me think...I may allow some overlap...but, let me consider it. We can always have the start day as today or tomorrow, even if people aren't in their groups until the day after.

Steven (gallifreyan1218) | 5272 comments I'll be finishing the one I'm 70+% on today or tomorrow... My Harry Potter book 7 is at 6%. I might just leave it until we start the next round!

But I don't want to wait to read!!! X)

You may leave you shelf names the same for Round II. Also, if you decide to change the name, you can go in through you bookshelves and "edit" the name; it will still keep all your other books "tagged" for the challenge Home Page.

We are not going to hassle anyone about start dates this time, Steven, so don't worry about it. (It was more of a hassle for us! LOL!)

Steven (gallifreyan1218) | 5272 comments Yeah, I was going to say, if I read the bulk of it after the start date, I'd hate for it not to count! :)

ilovebakedgoods (Teresa) (ilovebakedgoods) | 226 comments Great effort, Team A! I can't believe the first round is over already. Then again, I can't believe we're already in the 4th month of the year, lol.

I'm feeling so dense right now because I'm trying to wrap my head around the idea of keeping the same shelf name for round 2. How is it not going to affect the totals for that round? I assume we're going to read so many books in order to reach whatever goal again, so wouldn't I be "padding" the numbers if I use my team a shelf for my round 2 shelf (since it'll count books from January 1 through the present)? Am I over-thinking? Am I missing something obvious? LOL, help! Or is the round 2 challenge going to somehow magically count books read only from certain date to certain date?

Not dense at all, Teresa. We are setting the date parameters to start April 12th. There will be some overlap on both challenges, but it is fine to use the same shelf for both.

Steven (gallifreyan1218) | 5272 comments I might make a separate shelf with a colorful name and put them on that, while still adding them to the original challenge shelf too (to keep up with the year long goal)

ilovebakedgoods (Teresa) (ilovebakedgoods) | 226 comments Thanks! You know, I started realizing it was probably a date parameter thing but I couldn't quite remember how the challenge thing was set up. Your illustration perfectly demonstrates what my brain wasn't coming up with, hehe.

I was thinking of doing the same thing, Steven.

Sonia (darktalynn) | 11599 comments Good Morning A-Team!!!

I am waiting for the numbers to refresh, but our last count was 1880 a pretty round number.

We did a pretty good job. It was a pleasure and a honor to be part of this team.

Happy Readings

GO TEAM!!!
