Thanks for the help Teresa and Mary. I didn't realize it didn't have a read date. I'll be more careful from now on.

Since 2011?!?!
Congratulations! That's my ultimate favourite series since Harry Potter :D

Oh, I'm so glad you liked it, Sashana! :-D

How did you like The Last Runaway, Barb? I've only read one of hers - Remarkable Creatures - and I absolutely loved it.

Congratulations! That's my ultimate favourite series since Harry Potter :D
Yup, since 2011. I tend to be very stingy with my 5 stars.

LOVED it! Now I have to until 2014 for the next one :(

My feelings exactly... the ending was OMIGOSH FLABERGASTICCC!!!

Ditto! (view spoiler) I think I might have to reread that part.

I'll probably re-read both books near the release date from the last one. I mean, listen to them, the audio narrator IS AMAZING.

The A-Team Readathon
◈ Duration: January 25th PST 8:00 AM (GMT 4PM) to February 1st PST 8:00 AM (GMT 4 PM)
◈ Participants commit to a total of 24-hour reading, which can be split
as follows:
1. One 24-hour reading period.*
2. Two 12-hour reading periods.
3. Three 8-hour reading periods.
4. Four 6-hour reading periods.
◈ When signing up, A) select an option above that will best fit your needs, and B) set
a page total as your goal. Post both of these to the team thread, as well as
your time zone.
◈ Keep us updated on your progress! Every few hours (as long as it doesn't
interfere with your reading), post a status update on how many pages you've read
toward your goal.

* Obviously, we aren't expecting you to read 24 hours straight. If you choose this option, you'll be committing to reading as much as you possibly can in a 24-hour period. Basically: read, eat, read, sleep, and read. Oh, and breathe. That's important.

Any questions? What do you guys think?
I'll be posting this to the front page, in message #2 for easy access.

Forgot to say I'm in central time zone in USA

I've got you down, Susan! :-D

Thank you Mary :o)

Onward to the sixth

I'll try to join the readathon, hopefully I'll have the time to.
Also, the banner used is absolutely lovely! Sonia/Mary, where did you get it?

Yes, the banner is amazing, I don't know where Mary got it but is absolutely perfect for the theme.

Ooh, yes, what did you think of Shadow and Bone? I loved that one.
I found the banner through Google Images. It came from this article. I spent WAY too much time this morning looking at pictures of bookshelves and people reading and stuff. I can waste time like nobody's business.
I would do the read-a-thon but I think my school work would get in the way of it, So I think I will have to skip this time.

Goal is 1000 pages altogether
Time zone: EST
Even though I am reading the book
, I am also going to be reading
. It sounded good so I hope it is good.

Love the bookshelf header, Mary, and I can also waste time like nobody's business, lol.
Oh, and I definitely think we'll have more read-a-thons in the future! Maybe we could have one each month, or every couple.

I really liked it, Mary -- so much so that I had a really hard time putting it down! I've read several of her books and have liked almost all of them.

◈ Duration: January 25th PST 8:00 AM (GMT 4PM) to February 1st PST 8:00 AM (GMT 4 PM)"
I'm in, with four 6-hour reading periods, probably on Saturday 1/26, Sunday 1/27, Monday 1/28 and Wednesday 1/29, but those days are subject to change, depending on what comes up in the real world. Time zone: EST
Oh yeah, you asked for a page goal: I'm going to say 1000 pages, just because I've never set a page goal for a RaT before and that sounds like a good number :)

Nancy, what do you think of it so far? :D
-
Oh and the readathon I'll have to check. But I think I'm in for, 4 days 6 hours each. Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday :) (for now). Oh and Timezone: GMT

Nancy - Days of Blood & Starlight is the sequel to Daughter of Smoke & Bone. Have you read that one?
Teresa - We will definitely have more readathons! Especially if this one is successful. I guess we'll see how it goes.

Great, Alexa! I'll sign you up. Do you have a page goal?

Mary wrote: "Great, Alexa! I'll sign you up. Do you have a page goal?"
Err I'm going for 800 at the least, pretty sure it might increase :)
Edit: you know what, make that 1000 pages

◈ Duration: January 25th PST 8:00 AM (GMT 4PM) to February 1st PST 8:00 AM (GMT 4 PM)"
Im in for the 4x6hr also and will go with 1000 page goal. I am in MST.
Will be fun for sure!!!
I'll definitely join the readathon. I'm good for 2 12 hours, anytime after the 28th (I have two exams) because that's the inbetween of this semester and the next and I won't have school.
My page goal will be 1000.

Don't worry, Gayle - we'll be doing this again, I'm sure. Sorry about your crazy schedule!

Got you down as TBD. :-) Hope you'll be able to join in!

No I haven't yet. I got the book from my college library and they only had that book.

Trust me, you really need to read Daughter of Smoke & Bone first. :-/ Everything will be incredibly confusing for you if you don't. Days of Blood & Starlight picks up RIGHT where the first book leaves off.
