How did you like The Last Runaway, Barb? I've only read one of hers - Remarkable Creatures - and I absolutely loved it.

I'll probably re-read both books near the release date from the last one. I mean, listen to them, the audio narrator IS AMAZING.

                                                      The A-Team Readathon

Duration: January 25th PST 8:00 AM (GMT 4PM) to February 1st PST 8:00 AM (GMT 4 PM)

Participants commit to a total of 24-hour reading, which can be split
   as follows:

        1. One 24-hour reading period.*
        2. Two 12-hour reading periods.
        3. Three 8-hour reading periods.
        4. Four 6-hour reading periods.

◈ When signing up, A) select an option above that will best fit your needs, and B) set
a page total as your goal. Post both of these to the team thread, as well as
   your time zone.

Keep us updated on your progress! Every few hours (as long as it doesn't
interfere with your reading), post a status update on how many pages you've read
    toward your goal.

Mini-Challenges & Games - Sonia and I will be coming up with a few fun things
during the readathon. In other words, this part is TBD.

Participants
Mary - CST - 3x8 - 800 pages
Sonia - GMT - 2x12 - 1000 pages

Elaine (ofdustandstarlight) Done with my fifth Shadow and Bone (The Grisha, #1) by Leigh Bardugo
Onward to the sixth Warm Bodies (Warm Bodies, #1) by Isaac Marion

I'll try to join the readathon, hopefully I'll have the time to.
Also, the banner used is absolutely lovely! Sonia/Mary, where did you get it?

Sonia (darktalynn) | 11599 comments Elaine what did you think about Shadow and Bone (The Grisha, #1) by Leigh Bardugo ?

Ooh, yes, what did you think of Shadow and Bone? I loved that one.

I found the banner through Google Images. It came from this article. I spent WAY too much time this morning looking at pictures of bookshelves and people reading and stuff. I can waste time like nobody's business.

message 524: by [deleted user] (new)

I would do the read-a-thon but I think my school work would get in the way of it, So I think I will have to skip this time.

message 527: by [deleted user] (new)

Even though I am reading the book Gone (Gone, #1) by Michael Grant , I am also going to be reading Days of Blood & Starlight (Daughter of Smoke and Bone, #2) by Laini Taylor . It sounded good so I hope it is good.

ilovebakedgoods (Teresa) (ilovebakedgoods) | 226 comments I will have my work schedule for that week (for the RaT) by this weekend so I'll set my time up later.

Love the bookshelf header, Mary, and I can also waste time like nobody's business, lol.

Oh, and I definitely think we'll have more read-a-thons in the future! Maybe we could have one each month, or every couple.

I really liked it, Mary -- so much so that I had a really hard time putting it down! I've read several of her books and have liked almost all of them.

I'm in, with four 6-hour reading periods, probably on Saturday 1/26, Sunday 1/27, Monday 1/28 and Wednesday 1/29, but those days are subject to change, depending on what comes up in the real world. Time zone: EST

Oh yeah, you asked for a page goal: I'm going to say 1000 pages, just because I've never set a page goal for a RaT before and that sounds like a good number :)
