R6: Team #15 ~ La Nina Bonitas

It's past midnight here and Shelf should be announced in a 3-4 hours but I'm thinking I probably won't be getting up on time tomorrow. Which is great as I don't think I can wait patiently.
Also, I've shortlisted my freespace books. It's going to be one of the following. Two are chunkies and I figure I can take my time and finish once I decide which.

Only 3-4 hours? I may stay up and wait then. I'm stuck in that "I want to start a book, but I want to wait for the shelf" thing. Maybe I should find a DVD or something.

I'll be reading The Hunger Games for kick ads heroine and Catching Fire/Mockingjay (whichever is the second book as I can't reach from my bed where I'm lying with a headache to check) for the free space.
Night all :)

For KAH shelf-

I read

I started reading it before the shelf was called, and it is on the KAH shelf...

Oh well...I'll pick a new one then :-)

Okay thanks, we have a lot of choice when it comes to it.

I havent read that series but have heard good stuff about it. I think Sandra or Judith or Steph can give you better feedback on both the series.

Edited because I forgot to say I based my choice on this being on the group's bookshelf.

It might be worth getting them all at once if you can, given that I've finished two in the last 12 hours and am ready for the last one now :)

Can't wait to see what you think of it. I've been debating picking up a copy for a while.

Yep. :D Some choose to get it out of the way in the early days of the game, when it's not so crazy. No one can win in the first few weeks! ;-)

I loved this. This book has everything! I enjoyed the characters and the growth. I enjoyed the world building- it sucks you in without being overwhelming. I like that, while this book is the first in a series, it could be read as a stand-alone. If you like fantasy with your romance, this is a book for you.

I just read that one last week. Thanks to some gentle nudging from our glorious SOS leaders, I started Cassandra Palmer last year, and loved it. So, immediately bought this (and the 3rd is shipping to me right now...pre-ordered even before reading #1 based on the strength of liking CP!).
It was fun! Dorina is quite interesting, and I love her attitude toward dear old dad, and life in general. Very fast-paced action, and good tension all around. Liked the ending, and have bumped up #2! Enjoy!!!!

That's one I read in R5...the next week I happily picked book 2! Another interesting, "real" character with strengths and weaknesses...and I'm crushing on Death :D

Have you read the third book in the series? I liked the first book but I felt the second didn't have that much of a character development. I'm rooting for Death too but I hope the triangle doesn't continue. I hate love triangles!

That's the next one for me...and I feel the same about triangles! (view spoiler) Have to get to #3 soon!

Lynn, great choice! I'm looking forward to your review :)
Rachel, neat review. I'm pushing this up in my TBR. Hopefully, I can get to it soon.

Done :) I knew I'd forget something!

It took me about 2-3 years to pick up the Hunger Games, to read it, to get the others and read them. It's pretty much the DVD release combined with the bingo shelves that got me to read them. They're good, but not up to the hype. I've got things that bug me in each.

Like me. I know I've got Nerd Wars coming up where knitting time will cut into my reading time so I'm trying to get as ahead as possible before that.
Trust me, I'm not normally this speedy.

I was hesitant to read at first so sat on my shelf for 2 years and finally read all 3 about 8 months ago....
I have things that bugged me too but I cant remember what they were now but at the time A few of us had quite the discussions about the trilogy...

Review: Having read several of the Highlander series by this author, I was looking forward to reading this - the first book in the Fever series - and it didn't disappoint! I was hooked from the first page...The author has a writing style that grabs you and makes you feel like you are sat with Mac at a later date, being told what happened at the time. The two main characters (Mac and Barrons) are portrayed well, and I liked how you are only given little snippets about Barrons - leaving you wondering if he is a good guy or not. Can't wait to read the next one in the series!

Shelf Kick Ass Heroine

Review I absolutely love this series. This book was about Tabitha the twin sister of Amanda from a previous book. Tabitha is the goth sister Daimon slayer. I have loved her from when she was first introduced and had hoped she would get her own story. She falls for Valerius who was a Roman General. Kyrian who is the husband of Amanda HATES Valerius because of the torture he suffered at the hands of Valerius's family.
There is romance, great fighting action, and stuff happens with good ole Nick (another character I adore).

Now, just have to wait *patiently* for shelf to be called."
Aye aye Captain lol :) I'm filling my wait time by catching up on my review backlog.
