Some words don't fade when you close the book. They settle into a drawer somewhere and wait, like a scent that outlasts the flower.

I'm a writer and blogger from Hartlepool, originally from Timișoara. I write about the things people keep without quite knowing why — an old letter, a scent, a kitchen chair nobody else sits in. Most of it starts at home and works outward from there.

My books — The Mountain Won't Let Go, The Scent of the Soul, and What the Wax Preserves — all live in the same kind of place: a quiet house, a garden nobody's tended in a while, a family that doesn't say much out loud. My wife Marcsi works with essential oils, and living alongside that taught me how much a smell can carry when the words run out.
