Tahnee Georgina Campbell wrote her first crime fiction story at the age of sixteen as a gift for her best friend. At only 40 pages long it fell considerably short of a “novel” but it marked the beginning of a creative journey that would eventually spawn the first of the Bow Street Society mystery novels; The Case of the Curious Client. During that time she attended the University of Winchester where she acquired her Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Studies and wrote a dissertation on the social and cultural importance of the works of Agatha Christie.

The Bow Street Society is a fictional group of amateur detectives, operating in Victorian London, that feature in the murder mystery writings of award winning crime author, T.G. Campbell. Eac

If I write when I'm feeling "ugh" then I know I'd only end up going back and re-editing it later. I try to plan ahead as much as possible; I'm constantly asking myself "why would that happen? What would happen next if they said that or that happened? Does it even make sense considering the character doing it?" I find that helps a lot when I get stuck. (less)

REVIEW: Under An English Sky by John Bainbridge

UNDER AN ENGLISH SKY UNDER AN ENGLISH SKY by John Bainbridge

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is a great set of short stories from one of my favourite authors. Some stories in this collection are thought provoking, others are amusing, but they're all very well written and stay with you long after you've finished reading. A short read perfect for lazy summer days. Highly recommended.

"Fantastic set of short stories from TG Campbell. If I had to choose my favourite it would be The Whitechapel Wraith however they are all so clever and well thought out, it’s a pleasure to read them all. Looking forward to the next book.
