Usually this helps get things moving and then I can make notes on defining traits or things I see coming through their reactions in that situation that inform their backstory. I write across romance genres and am working on more contemporary stories that build off my short story to focus on other characters within that universe. I am also writing historical, paranormal, and fantasy romance stories as well. Stay tuned for updates on my website: sri-savita.com!(less)

March at the start: revision, vision, and balance

Hello friends,

Wow, February was a busy blur, and mentally taxing. The thick slabs of ice piled up everywhere that took an entire month to melt did not make things better, and we still have some snow hiding in the shade. But hopefully false spring will settle into true, steady spring soon.

So far, I’ve been deep in the writing cave, revising, plotting, and drafting, so I’m sending this a bit later t

“After all, the warmth of the sun could be dangerous.”
Sri Savita, The Deed with the Duke: Cards of Passion

“I was only in my thirties but I was old. You don’t measure age in years, you measure it in lessons learned and repeated mistakes and how hard it is to force a little hope into your heart. Old just means jaded and cynical and tired. And boy, was I tired.”
Luke Arnold, The Last Smile in Sunder City

“when death
takes my hand
i will hold you with the other
and promise to find you
in every lifetime”
Rupi Kaur, The Sun and Her Flowers

“i am sorry this world
could not keep you safe
may your journey home
be a soft and peaceful one

- rest in peace”
Rupi Kaur, The Sun and Her Flowers

“i will no longer compare my path to others - i refuse to do a disservice to my life”
Rupi Kaur, The Sun and Her Flowers

“it isn’t blood that makes you my sister it’s how you understand my heart as though you carry it in your body”
