Sharif Khan is the multi-genre author of the comedy novel, THE SUFI SURFER, epic fantasy, BRAVE FORTUNE, and the inspirational personal development book, PSYCHOLOGY OF THE HERO SOUL (as mentioned in Reader's Digest).

He lives in Toronto, is a former bookseller, and is a graduate of the Humber School for Writers. He also served as a Writing Workshop Facilitator for Writers Collective of Canada and Director of the MetroActive Writers Club.

Sharif devoted several years to immersive study in psychology and human development for his Hero Soul book—research which helps fuel his fiction.

Other times, I will switch to research and reading up material related to the scene and brainstorm ideas, until the idea coalesces.

Sometimes I'll sleep on it and the problem will resolve in the morning. But perhaps the best way to cure writer's block is to WRITE! Just write a crappy scene and move on to writing the next scene. You can then go back and re-write the crappy scene better because you will have more knowledge about the story progression. (less)
