Beautiful Bamberg: Neue Residenz

The Neue Residenz sits across the Bamberg Cathedral.
 
It has four wings. This palatial building was built as the residence for the new Prince Bishop between 1613 and 1703.
 
The residence sports resplendent architecture with tapestries, stucco-work ceilings and furniture dating back to the 17th and 18th centuries. This splendour is spread across forty rooms.
