My name is Roger Hyttinen and I'm a fiction author. I like to write about:

My mind has always lived in the place of castles, vampires, ghosts, werewolves, knights in shining armor, and "happily ever afters" so this is what you can expect from my writing. Being gay myself, I tend to feature gay protagonists (and often gay secondary characters) in each of my books. So when if you see "own voices" attached to any of my stories, it doesn't mean that I'm a ghost, vampire or werewolf (Or am I?) -- just that I'm part of the LGBTQIA+ community, like my characters.

Somewhere in Nowhere Review

So I just finished Somewhere in Nowhere by Steven Gellman (published in 2026, and yes, I would like to personally thank whoever decided to put this story into the world), and I’m still carrying that weird mix of happy/sad/fearful-for-teen-boys-on-new-schedules.

This book is basically: what if senior year is already hard, you move towns, you’re figuring out your sexuality, and your anxiety… show
