Excellent review, Will! You've made this sound a very intense read. I'm just a bit scared at your mention of possibly losing nights of sleep after reading this. I can't risk that. Lol!
Great review, I loved this one too! You have to watch the Family Guy episode where Stewie plays Stewie Wilkes demanding that the author resurrect "snuggly Jeff!" (It's like seven minutes of an episode that does The Body, Misery, and The Shawshank Redemption-- all amazing!)

Thank you! Intense reads are the best.

I've seen that before! I've only realized it last night that they did a King parody. Great episode.

No matter what happens, one should always check out the book!
King can be so hit or miss. Most of his books are good. Misery was excellent, five stars for me too. Joyland was three. The Dark Tower I couldn't even get through.
Good review. I agree he has a gift for character complexity, especially in novels like this one that focus on a single protagonist instead of a group of heroes like many of his other books (not that I don't like those as well, but books like Misery and The Shining go deeper into character psychology). Misery is one of my all-time favorites.

I agree that this novel in particular needs to have just one or two main characters. For novels like It and The Stand though, that's a different story.
Most definitely. The Stand was one of the first novels I read that blew me away (as a young adult at the time). King has a great range with using classic and modern archetypes, *and* deep, immersive characters. I need to read that one again.

Glad we're on the same page! You better read more King.
Totally agree with you. I love Kathy Bates, and that's the reason why I watched the movie. But the original book is so much better! It really terrified me.
Wizard and Glass is considered one of the best, if not THE best DT books in the numbered series. Can't trust someone who gives an amazing book 2 stars only.

I'm really looking forward to. I started my SK-experemint a while ago and so far it's an entertaining journey. What's your favourite book by him?
