These are the types of books I enjoy when the "dog days" of summer set in, so I'll add this to my to read list. I enjoyed The Peach Keeper.
What a great read! Yes, I often venture off to the bizarrely funny or totally outrageous opposite pole of the serious stuff. It is the only way to reach equilibrium again. This book sounds like an enjoyable relaxing read. Great review!
Margitte, I agree, I like mixing in some lighter books with the serious ones. Or pairing a nonfiction with a fiction. It's a good way to avoid a reading rut.
