I AM SOOOO EXCITED! GIVE IT TOO ME
Okay, yours is the first review I read and I SO agree with you. This wasn't what I expected. While I did like the book overall, I agree that the subplots were frustrating.
I was expecting a much different story, and that's the story I *wanted*. So it's disappointing. :/
I understand. I spent a lot of time trying to adjust.
I read this not knowing of the previous book. No expectations. Yes I wanted things to happen different at times, but I thought the book was really wonderful—not having preconceptions. It all turned out OK didn't it?
I know you wrote this comment years ago but just picked up a copy of this and started reading it and was thinking oh this is really familiar have I read this book before and now I know why, because it's the same characters in My Life Next Door can't believe I missed this. Duh
