Sorry this was a flop for you. I liked it more, but you are so right that it doesn't even compare to her last release. It's also like the third "in my dreams" story I've read recently so that probably didn't help matters.
Again, I always love your reviews. I really appreciate that you don't worship everything you read haha! "I could not care less" lol
@Katie, thank you! I try to not be a Negative Nellie but I do know what I like and don’t. Good to know it’s appreciated :)
@Jenna, thanks! I came close to thinking about finishing since I’d read so much then I came to my senses! Lol
Thanks for your honesty Jan! You make me laugh! I’ll definitely skip this one. Hope your next book is excellent!
I enjoyed Silver’s last book but just haven’t felt drawn to this one. Your review helps me confirm I’m making the right call, Jan ;) Hope you do love your next book though!
I enjoyed One Day in December too! Shame this one was not as good. I’m rubbish at giving up on a book ... so well done in deciding to do that !
@Kelli, I was a captive audience on a plane and I do hang in there a bit longer when it’s a review book. Which in this case was a mistake :(
@Andrea, you’re welcome but if you have it you read perhaps you’ll love it! I’m so often here outlier ;)
Wonder what side of the fence I will end up on! I recently rated a romance that was getting all 5 star reviews a weak 3 stars, so.....🤔
@Jayme, if only we could predict ahead of time, right? I hope you love it and I’ll be watching for your thoughts!
Well, I’m glad I skipped this one. I loved her last one too. Life’s too short to read boring books Jan! 😊
I was hesitant to read this, Jan, and your review confirms my initial feeling. I hope your next book is much more enjoyable!
@Suzy, thank you. I wish I had done the same :( I feel the sane way. Life is definitely too short and even if it’s not for me, there is a market for every book :)
You definitely did the right thing, Jan. If it’s not working move on, there’s plenty more books out there. I hope your next 📖 is a good one!
great honest review, I have also given myself more permission to not finish books that I'm bored with, find mediocre or are just plain bad!
@Debbie, thanks :)
@Nancy, thank you, I often feel like a curmudgeon so I appreciate that! 😊
@Holly, I wish I had done the same 😉
@Theresa Allen, you’re welcome! But remember I’m the curmudgeonly outlier 😉
@Dana, I was so disappointed! :(
@Dorie, that’s a very good permission to give ourselves! Life is truly too short.
@Deanna, thank you!
@Kim, oh no, I’m sorry. I wish I had liked it better but many did, so hopefully you will too:)
