nick (the infinite limits of love) I'm currently reading this book and I have to say I agree with most of the things you mentioned in your review.
I haven't even read a quarter of the book, but I'm sick of Jacinda's whining and complaining.
You're right. She IS a selfish brat who only thinks about herself.
Extremely unlikable !

Jen Jacinda is a terrible character. She blames her mom for forcing her to leave the community but her mom did it so that Jacinda wouldn't (spoiler) HAVE HER WINGS CLIPPED! That was it right? If not, it was something along those lines. It's so annoying how evil she makes her mother out to be when they were going to ruin Jacinda had she decided to stay there! Ugh!

Megan Fermo Yep. That's it. But I guess in little Jacinda's eyes having her wings clipped off is sooo nothing compared to having to live with ignorant humans like ourselves. I mean, even after her mother told her that (reluctantly, I might add, because her mom knew how much this fact would hurt Jacinda)I never got the feeling that Jacinda was really mad at their Draki Pride at all! I didn't feel the same anger that she harbored for her mother and sister, and for their new situation in the human community. Really pisses me off. Priorities, Jacinda! ~Please~

I agree with everything in your review, and wish the book had been about Tamra instead. At least Tamra didn't complain about having to move to protect her sister, whereas Jacinda isn't even the slightest bit grateful to her mother for protecting her.
