Fab review Miriam.
Wonderful review sweetie 😘 I read this long ago and loved it but I need to do a review-read, especially after watching the Netflix series of it. Broke my heart 😕
Thank you for that extraordinary review, Miriam. I loved the book - although I read it quite a while ago - and it was a real pleasure to revisit it through your eyes.
I had not heard about this one at all Miriam, so thanks for alerting me and a superb review. btw, what ages are your boys? xx
Great review Miriam. What we like and dislike is personal in the way it affects us so glad to see you don't mind swimming against the tide. I'm not sure if this is for me but I loved Sylvia Plath's The Bell Jar, one of the few books I have re-read. xx
Second The Bell Jar.. some of it I can still quote. I read that for the second time in NY when I was alone and seriously depressed.. doesn't sound great but it helped me a lot xx
Miriam, I know there's a lot of controversy around the book/TV show, so kudos to you for reading it and forming your own opinion. Nice, fair and balanced review - good job!
I watched the first half of the TV episodes and they did end up changing a lot. There were some changes I liked and some I didn't. I'm glad you liked the book and I can totally relate to not wanting movie/TV to ruin a great story!
I read this recently too, after having finished watching the series on Netflix. As with most, the book was different to the series. I usually try to read before I watch so I don't carry expectations from the adaptations to the original. Nevertheless, I enjoyed this book too! This is a great review 😊
Wonderful review Miriam! I've been hesitant to add this one, but you've enticed me. Thank you for such a great review! 😊
