I did listen to this on tape:) Does that count Cathy:)
I think you will like it. Carnegie did a tremendous amount of research on this book and it's certainly stood the test of time. Listening to it was like attending a how-to seminar on 'The Golden Rule'.
I read this book sometimes back but i didn't finish it.
I have seen your review and remembered how much I enjoyed it. I will make a point of re-reading it.
I agree entirely with your review. I first encountered this book when I was in awe of how my dormitory room mate connected with everyone he met. He pointed me to this book. Before I read it, someone else said that it taught you to manipulate people. The book isn't about manipulation at all; it teaches you to take a genuine interest in others with the promise that you will benefit from everyone you meet. Maybe that's an overgeneralization on my part, but the book has had a big impact on my life.
