Thank you Fionnuala! I thought of you when I was reading it and writing the review. It seemed like a book you might love. Thank goodness I have kept a reading log since before Goodreads existed! Since 1991 I have noted every book I read and at least a few thoughts.

That's lovely to hear, Judy. This web of readers across the world we belong to has great moments and that's one of them.
And lucky you to have kept a reading log for so long. I had an instinct to do that when I was nineteen or twenty and bought a notebook especially -I can still see it's spiral binding - but the practice and the notebook both got mislaid alas.
