You are so right in your summation,. I have picked the book up and put it down numerous times over the course of my reading. I wasn't sure I would finish it until I reached the last fifty pages when it seemed sinful not to at such a stretch. It took me a minute to grow accustomed to entire pages that sported two sentences. They taught me never to write run on in college comp class. But the writer has taken a risk with creative license and it works for him. Other less able writers should not try that trick at home. I found myself absorbed in his descriptions of the events so lost in my imagination that scenes played out as if in a View-master in my head.Something bout it bothered me as it didn't seem right to accept such unusual writing style. But others have seemed to enjoy his work so maybe I shouldn't think too much and just be one with it. When the women were dancing in the rain, I could actually see them. And I''m nearly blind..
Wow this description is right on. I'm reading it now and I struggle every time as to whether I want to continue or put it down. I even reAlize I'm reading it with a grimace on my face!
Wow I could never think of such valid purpose for the writer to write the conversations in that way! now I just admire the book even more!
But I couldn't put the book down and the first part in the hospital was more interesting and new to me and It was the main and the most necessary part of the story IMO

Your review makes me think maybe I should give this another shot. I stopped reading while they were still in the hospital, so maybe I missed the best part.
