LOL that one sentence sums up the whole of my feelings for this book too. That ending gave me whiplash. (view spoiler)[Also, I get what the author was doing with the whole "selfless" theme, but I felt it would've been more powerful if she allowed Caleb to finally do the right thing for once, instead of her stepping it up to save the world again. And plus, her "heroic sacrifice" scene was lame. Like a bullet, really?? She dodged so many bullets before, and faced more deadly things, but ended up dying by a bullet of all things. Mostly unpopular opinion: I think the choices made truly demonstrated her Divergence. I actually liked the ending and felt it matched a good portion of her character arc. *shrug*

The ending was one of the few things I liked about this book. The rest of it I thought was pretty pointless, but the ending was kind of interesting and fit well with the character to me.

I gotta say, the ending twist was one of the only things I liked about the last installment in this trilogy. The plot was kinda meh, and Tobias was a little annoying(at least in my opinion).

I get what you are saying, but I really wanted for her to enjoy what she has accomplished

@Kat(hryn) - I know there is a lot of controversy about the end of this series. Glad I'm not alone in my thoughts. :)

We can't always have happy endings friend. I didn't like what happened, but I can accept it. It made it feel real to me. We die. Even our favorite people die. I still think it was a great ending to the trilogy.
That's just me though.
