I grew up in a remote area of the state of Indiana, where I felt the presence of a celestial company in my everyday life. I knew nothing about malice. Life was reasonably blameless. But everything changed drastically when my family relocated to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. My youth became full of mistakes and shame.
While living in distress during that time, I observed the rudeness and cruelty of my classmates in and out of the classroom. I stood in front of numerous altercations that ended in screams, tears, and suspensions. I came to believe that living in agony wasn’t what human life was supposed to be like. Nothing seemed to be magical anymore.
Years later, after graduating from college, I succumbed to many temptations, which almost took my life. In lamentation, I began writing canticles that described the meaning of life and what God meant about loving my neighbors as I love myself. Through biblical parables, I understood why this life is to be kept righteous and without blemish: human life is about peace, justice, and joy.
While striving to reunite my soul with my heart and spirit, I realized the importance of staying vigilant against the enticements of the world’s allures. Nobody is immune to bullies, falsehoods, sexual immorality, gossip, and mental stress. To live a better life away from these annoyances, I needed to be more present, self-controlled, and safeguarded. So the idea of writing a book came up. I had to let go of unpleasant feelings, stubborn thoughts, and delusions to become a fruitful and joyful human being.
The book The Kodach Secrets is just my testimony of how powerful it is to stay positive and immersed in prayer to transform someone spiritually for a joyful life on earth.
