I like romance fiction and erotic romance. I like guaranteed HEAs, except when I don't. I try to read items that have at least half-way decent prose. I like romance fiction and erotic romance. I base my stars rating on how much I liked it and how much the book achieved what it set out to do - I hope that helps! Don't look at my ratings and then look at classic fiction. My five star rating of a great romance title is not the same as an English professor rating Ulysses. Apples and oranges, folks. I'm rating the item based on it being a romance novel. I'm a re-reader - 4 and 5 stars indicate I'd read it again. I like where there is some tension, but often dislike situations where a) the heroine or hero is *unbelievably* stupid or naive b) characters don't talk about things when they are given an opportunity to talk c) nothing ever happens d) the author decides to have bad things happen just to balance out the story. e) I don't mind when there isn't as much action - *if the writing is good.* f) I want to care about both the hero and the heroine - unlikeability should only be temporary g) not huge into bdsm - maybe I'm into the 'light' stuff, but the serious stuff - not my thing. h) I don't mind some insta-love - esp when the story is lighter i) not a fan of serial novellas (same as tv shows that end on a cliffhanger) big dislike for me. j)not big into time travel ...more
