I am 67 (1950) from New Zealand but lived in Thailand since 2001, working in the airline industry and private public relations and capacity building work. I have been a journalist for more than 45 years, including 12 years as a political journalist. I was a television reporter, editor and producer for TVNZ and a corporate communications manager for TVNZ, Air New Zealand and Star Alliance. I have an abiding interest in politics and writing. I have two children and four grandchildren living in Melbourne, Australia. My wife Lyn and I live on Phuket in Thailand with two cats.
I have written my first novel, "Proud," that will be published early 2018. It is set in a fictitious country called "Proud" and involves issues such as climate change, nuclear power, political intrigue, an innocent hero of unusual characteristics and his sidekick, a sheep (what else?) set around gumboot throwing, rugby, frequent bouts of sex around Parliament buildings and a climax with several unusual twists involving Proud, the United States and Australia. The book contains much humour and information on a variety of subjects that will keep the viewer both amused, intrigued about where it is going and what the finale will involve.
