I'm going to narrow my previous recommendation request somewhat: I prefer to read works of fantasy, science fiction, and young adult fiction. And here was the original request: I'd like to read more books where the first-person protagonist is of a different gender than the author of the book. Caveat: I don't want there to be any "cheats" to this like having narrators of both genders or sections in third person (I've found plenty of those already and I want to see the author push themselves a bit harder than that)....more
