I am having a hard time with the origins of the Celts. Who was invaded by whom and when. Maybe no one knows for sure, but if you can recommend something? I am just realizing that the Celts spread far into eastern Europe, but from where?

Most of the books I like are authors from another era--but not always. Love Hilary Mantel. I will not buy a book unless I have already read it and intend to read it again. When I read a book straight through in four hours or so, that is generally not a great sign. I like writing that I can chew on, that gives me a perspective I have not seen (or reminds me vividly of one I have). I like to be reading along and suddenly say, what? How the heck did she manage to say that using those words? And bo back to take a look at the new ways the simple parts of speech have been put together to make a whole that puts me right into the story--guts, brain, eyes, everything....more
