Second Chance Summer by Morgan Matson
so I totally posted on the wrong comment, but The Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson deals with grief in a good way. Also The Miseducation of Cameron Post, though the death of family (parents) is kind of shadowed by growing up LGBT
I also second Second Chance Summer. Very good perspective on having a dying parent.
ooh Also Me and Earl and the Dying Girl and A Monster Calls are good too. They deal with what happens when you don't have the "expected" emotions when someone dies...and with that I'm done :)
Go Ask Alice?... Introspective look at Dementia and Alzheimer's. Had me in tears and had me truly thinking about my relationship with my parents.
