Charlotte I haven't read The Paris Wife but it is on my books to read this year. It is about Hemingway's first wife and everyone I know who has read it loves it.

George Hemingway's early stuff was set in the 1915-1920s. I know he's got an unsavory reputation but his writing was very powerful. The Sun Also Rises & A Farewell To Arms from that era. Some of his short stories are very strong.
