Sigh. Right, got to get through this one. Heard some horrible stuff. Been doing some research on personality disorders for a character I'm working on, and before I write a draft, I need to understand the mindset he'd be in at a particular moment. Sadly, this has meant reading Dead Inside, Exquisite Corpse, and now this. But after this, I'm bloody done with transgressive fiction. It's like your soul is being abused as you read -- not good. I write about people dealing with trauma, how to survive and grow after it. From what I see, these novels all glorify the trauma itself. :-\
