This is the one book I recommend over and over. For me, the beautifully written book was life-affirming. I have probably gifted this book a dozen times in the last year. Such a lovely story.
I will gift to my son, Paxton is his name, a young man who had lived up to his namesake. He was born post 911 after I was told as a young medical student that I would not be able to have children. Premature ovarian failure at 26. I got my first job as a physician working side my side my father, also a family physician. My first month of work September 2001. On September 11, 2001 I had to call in sick to work, I have never in my life done so. I couldn’t raise my head above bed, my labs suggested a brain tumor and I was getting scheduled for this. That morning I watched a morning show and observed “live” the planes hit the twin towers. A week later I was given the news. There was no brain tumor… I was pregnant. On April 12 2001 my son was born. I named him Paxton (peace) and that is what he brings to this world. He is a pensive writer, also a business graduate and starting his world of “adulting” now almost 24, working and living in NYC. A job in the Empire State Building. So much more to say but I plan to give him your book to inspire his life and his desire to write stories. Thank you for writing this book. I am only 39 % through but look forward to every chapter.

Great book though. Definitely read it.
