I actually have a question, was this based on Jean Genet Querelle? I did enjoy, very explicit and sometimes chaotic.

For sure. It's the same kind of character, an enigmatic hunk who wreaks havoc in a heterosexual world. It's explicit, but struck me as kind of dated where every het is supposed to be a homo inside. I don't think that's true. But it's great poetry!
