In an increasingly divided and polarized world, I have genuine concerns about the future of humanity and all other life on Earth. This planet is our home and at the moment we treat it with recklessness and selfishness. I wanted to write a story about overcoming these challenges and develop characters that could inspire others to strive for meaningful change. Ultimately I need to be hopeful that one day everyone will call themselves an environmentalist. Writing became a means of expressing that desire. (less)
