“Instead of saying, 'why me? Out of the hundreds of thousands out there, why must it be me?' When you can be thinking 'well, it's going to end up being someone. Whoever it happens to will say why me, so how am I any different? Do I deserve to suffer less? Is there a smaller chance I would get stabbed with a knife rather then the person standing next to me? I should be grateful that I rather then they suffer, instead of being sorrowful that I suffer at all.”
