A Goodreads user asked Paul Tremblay:

Just finished A Head Full of Ghosts, and have just started Disappearance, just wanted to say that I really love your cinematic storytelling style. Wondered why we haven't seen trailers for the movies that almost certainly could (and should) be made of your books, or if they're on the way? Also, is it a deliberate choice to write cinematically or is it just a matter of it being your style of writing? Thanks!

Paul Tremblay Hi, Brendan. Thank you for the reads and kind words. Focus Features is working on developing a movie version of A Head Full of Ghosts, but we're still more than a year away from anything coming out/happening (if it happens at all). Nothing on Devil's Rock.

I guess it's more of a function of my own writing style. There are plenty of interior moments in both books, but yeah, I spent quite a bit of time on setting and atmosphere. I think with a horror novel that's difficult to avoid.
