Just finished By Your Side, and yet again another masterpiece , your writing is so beautiful ,I always finish your books in one sitting , that's how much I get hooked to them. But I wanted to ask what inspired this story?

Thank you! I'm so happy you enjoyed it. This story was inspired by my time spent in the Provo Library in Utah. I usually do signings there every summer and one summer I looked at my friends (who sign with me) and said, this would be the perfect library to be locked inside for a weekend (because it's beautiful and big and a little creepy). And my friend Renee Collins said, with a boy. And then I knew I had to write that book.

Hi! I've read all of your books that are out, including "P.S. I Like You". They're all amazing and you never disappoint!!! Upon finishing this book, I realized that basically everything I have read from you has a pattern, at least one of the main characters parents are separated in some way, and they usually do not have a strong relationship with their father. Why do you choose to add this aspect into every book?
